CRIME (WRITER'S BLOCK WEEK ONE)

The approaching sound of sirens filled the air, and my lungs with fear, the huge bank we entered some minutes ago was starting to feel really small and choking, I felt like everyone was looking at me even though they were all facing the wall with their arms behind their backs, I readjusted my mask and held my gun properly, ignoring my shaky hands. "We gotta go" Two shouted from the entrance of the bank, "who alerted the cops", One asked pointing his gun at the manager, One was the boss and he was rather aggressive, he had the body of a wrestler and the voice of Morgan Freeman, you know, the voice that says "I'm the boss". I was the one with the hostages, to keep them from doing anything stupid, Three and Four were in the vault filling the bags with money.

There was a huge guy among the hostages, he kept looking back like he was going to jump me, I pointed the gun at him to reassure him that I was ready to pull the trigger, knowing fully well that I wasn't going to shoot an innocent person but I was a tall lanky guy who wore a glasses over his mask, I'm pretty sure if I didn't have a gun, he would have broken a few of my bones before I got the chance to fight back. Bang! the hostages screamed after they heard the gunshot, "what's going on" I shouted from where I was, I looked outside the door only to find out that One had shot the manager, I panicked and ran to the manager, he was still alive although bleeding, "was that necessary?" I said, looking up at One,

"don't question me boy" he replied, walking away.

I tore a part of the manager's shirt and placed it over his gunshot wound, "put pressure on that" I told him, Three and Four came out of the vaults with filled bags, "we gotta go" they shouted, "leave the man alone". By the time we got to the front door, the building was already surrounded by cops, "what now?" I asked looking at One, "you know how to use a gun don't you" he replied, "of course I do" I said, holding up my gun like I actually knew how to use it.

You're probably wondering how I ended up robbing a bank with a bunch of guys named after numbers, the name part is simple, they all kept their true identities a secret, One used to be in the army, he was discharged when he accidentally shot his team mate, accidentally in air quotes, his real name is Michael Danvers. Four and Three are actually twin brothers, they lost their parents at the age of 18, I guess they got their freedom a different way, they had to fend for themselves, and they thought "what better way to do that than to rob banks and kill the people who stood in their way", their real names are John and Jacob. Two is an ex-convict, he was convicted for murder, but he somehow got his sentence cut short, if he was arrested for robbing a bank, that would mean a life sentence, his real name is Matthew Connor.

I'm sure now you're thinking "I thought they kept their identities a secret", and you're probably wondering what my own back story is, I'll answer your questions in one sentence, My name is Davies, Detective Davies, and One Two Three and Four are about to get arrested, or killed, depending on if they shoot at the cops.
