Animal Photography - Four Legged Lawn Mowers
I visited an historic fortress in Bourg, France last week and the caretakers took an interesting approach to keeping the grass maintained around the fort. The guy below looked like the supervisor.
It must have been their break, since all of the workers were lounging in the shade. Or they could have been on strike, like France’s transportation workers were last week.
Here are a couple of shots of the fortress. There was a lot of grass to maintain.

I need a couple of those for my yard! Great shots! I hope they are secluded from the tourists! That first big guy looks like he could get your attention if you wanted to!
Thanks. They were not roped off from us. The Europeans are a lot less safety conscious than Americans.
Very true! The lack of handicap accessibility is why I had to quit traveling there.
We remarked as we toured several places that accessibility was limited for those with mobility issues.
It makes me appreciate all of our access here twice as much! Even now that I am no longer able to walk at all and use a mobility scooter to get around, I can still travel and enjoy visiting most all the sites that I want to see.
I was very surprised that the new train stations in France are very well thought out for mobility and sight impaired. Lots of ramps and raised “trails” on the floor for the blind.
That is good to know. I love train travel in Europe. And I perfectly understand that there is not much to be done with centuries old castles, buildings, and old streets. Finding handicap bathrooms and hotel rooms is challenging, too. I rather take bathrooms with handicap stalls for granted here.
These guys are able to eat everything that is green and not only. And let's not forget about what they leave behind, that's organic fertilizer 😁
So it's a win win situation.
As we walked the grounds, we had to be very careful about stepping on the “exhaust” from these lawn mowers. 😁
Told ya 😜 but you know that they say, what goes on, must come out 😉
They have cute workers! :)
They were very cute and happy to pose for pictures.
