100 Days of Poetry Challenge Update for Day 29
100 Days of Poetry Challenge
-----Update [Day 29]-----
Winners of Days 20–26 announced!(Week 3 winners as well)
Introduction
Hey everyone! Finally, an official update! We've been working hard to get caught up on poems, behind the scenes. Time to tell you all the things. Welcome to the update for Day 29 of our 100 day journey. It officially began at 6 PM GMT on April 4th. We are now over a quarter way through closing in on ⅓ completion! Time flies when you're having fun writing poetry...!
Changes to challenge operation & reminders
I want to introduce a major announcement. Total skip days allowed to remain in the challenge are now increased from 10 to 14, which works out to about one skip day per week. Please note skips cannot be used more than two in a row to officially remain in the challenge. They are intended to be times you can catch your breath and get ahead, not as vacations. The idea is to create a powerful momentum in your writing.
The only other thing I wanted to mention is that I've figured out how to record the poetry classes with OBS and did so for the first time with the class on Shakespearean sonnets that we had yesterday. Check out the recording on this post: https://steemit.com/poetry/@steemitpoetry/live-poetry-class-recording-10-common-shakespearean-sonnets
Daily winners
Day 20–26 winners are announced! To make it cleaner with several days, here are the winners arranged in a table. Below I'll list the weekly winners for Week 3 (15–21.)Week 3
Days (15–21)Beginner — @tifebaba
"Untitled"Intermediate — @sansoncarrasco
"Blank page"Advanced — @yahialababidi
"Surrender the day"Class
On Tuesday, I held a class on Shakespearean sonnets and we went over ten of the more common or famous ones. I won't go into too much detail because I made an entire post on the class and post the audio recording on a @steemitpoetry blog. Today, we had an open class for reading different published poets and discussed more into poetic process, the use of punctuation, and subjectiveness of preference when writing.
Tomorrow is our official critique class where you can bring pieces (less than 250 words) to get live critiqued. We will have the whole class period to do so as there will be no lecture. Don't be afraid to get your piece looked at! Also, it's a time to practice giving critique so you can improve on that end. Join us in the Steem schools discord from 5-7 pm GMT on April 5. https://discord.gg/yZvYjfM.

Congratulations to all winners and profound thanks to @d-pend for being both organizer of this contest and curator. Thanks to all curators, like @steemitpoetry, @d-pend himself and @dresden; and to all donors and voluntary reviewers like @acousticsteveo, for giving feedback and critique, thus making this enriching challenge/contest possible.
I also thank fellow Steemians @nancybriti, @marlyncabrera, @sandracabrera and @zeleiracordero for their continuous rapport and for always encouraging me to continue writing.
I offer my sincere apologies to all those who I'm unintentionally not mentioning.
I'm honored you considered my poem as winner of week 3 intermediate level, specially because that poem talks about something that every poet and writer has to face more often than not.
I wanted "Blank Page" to be a tribute to all of you.
Dear All, it's been a pleasure & privilege to keep pace with you over these past few weeks. Even though I will be bowing out, I intend to pop in from time to time to check out what you're up to.
Congratulations to all for taking on this stamina-building and heart-expanding challenge, and to our starry-eyed ringleader, Daniel, for having this big dream and sharing it with us.
