Marijuana germinated from seed, and growing indoors under 'cheap lighting'
Hey everyone. So let me just come straight out of the closet here and say that I truly believe cannabis,marijuana,mary-jane etc is the very best most useful plant that exists. I believe that there is literally no plant on earth with more uses than this wonderful herb. Daily I research more and more on the plant and the vast array of broad spectrum uses are a phenomenon. From bricks for houses, to food, to hemp for clothing, to medicine (THC/CBD) to alleviate/cure a large number of ailments/diseases from arthritis to cancer, migranes to fibromyalgia.
I have been doing a few indoor growing tests, now I am a totally passionate aquaponics man, sadly though to do this indoors I currently am not using an aquaponics system but testing under artificial lights and in normal potting/garden soil.
However, the results are better than expected.
That 'badboy' on the left was planted first, I'd appreciate if someone could tell me if that's a male or female and how could one tell?
3 CFL's two led tubes.. Cheap not the most effective but for the price not bad at all. Any ideas where one could get just one led that doesn't consume tons of power and or cost the earth to buy?

Now for the interesting part and real question. That little gem in the middle has the most amazing smell, it's leaves are smaller more robust than the other two. The bigger one has no smell at all and the smallest one it would seem the same applies. Why is this.

Male or Female?
You may have to use 16/8 lighting to have pre-flowering show sex. Females have white hairs, males have balls on stems. Lots of pictures on the net. ;)
Cheap Low-Wattage LED
You'll have to keep it at a further distance than fluorescent lights. 6"-12" away for a 15w, closer for lower wattage LEDs.
Differences in Genetics
cause differences in the plant. Some strains/phenotypes require more food than others, some are smellier, they all have their own unique terpene profile of smells and aromas. :)

I've been smoking pot for more than forty years and firmly believe it is the most beneficial plant on terra firma. I had the same one-hit pipe until a few months ago when it was confiscated by the CANADIAN border patrol.
I used pot as a training aid for sports and always had my best times training for ultra-marathons and personal bests in the gym after smoking. I even set several school records while playing high school football stoned.
I used pot as a study aid in school and aced all my exams in college once I started taking college serious and actually studied.
I have benefitted from its medicinal properties and can count on one hand the number of times I have actually been sick in the last forty years. My eye doctor couldn't understand why my eyes just stay the same year after year (25+ years now) unlike he and his other patients our age who all require reading glasses. I finally told him that I smoke pot. And I still have to occasionally show proof of age to buy beer, four times in the last twelve months.
I also appreciate the metaphysical aspects of its effects and have had some of my best ideas ever while "stoned" one being my current business plan which you are being a huge benefit and resource.
I also started adding hemp to my diet because it is an excellent form of protein containing almost all of the amino acids the body needs to function properly.

Sheesh @doc.hodes you really are my biggest fan what kind words thank you mate. Well what can I say I am a nature boy extraordinaire.. Have you watched the Rick Simpson story on youtube? Cannabis oil? Man that oak is my hero .. Also canadian he got arrested plenty by them too the mounted 'police' Brilliant man and great story let me know if you have seen it. My goal is to setup a nice big aquaponics system here in South Africa and grow the finest organic weed and then make the finest pure cannabis oil and save thousands of people but that all takes money and sadly the legislation still doesn't permit. But I have the know how, just the cash and the law are two hurdles that I need to somehow overcome, but fight the good battle and win we shall. Cheers for following brother you are a top man. ..

I keep an address in Colorado so I can go there and purchase it legally. It's great to be able to buy it fresh and know the quality you're buying.
The US DEA has admitted they have known all along that it is not harmful to humans or the economy and the only reason they want it to be illegal is to justify their budget.

@doc.hodes what a valuable comment. Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm a runner also. I use nutraceuticals hemp paste. It has helped everything. It has thc but within the US "legal limits ". Dont get me wrong it has helped my ptsd, anxiety, and depression so much.
I used to use higher potency products but with my livelihood on the line. ..If pot were legal I think I could legitamately get off dangerous benzos that are the only thing preventing insomnia.
Have you considered making your own. Or buying non fda 'controlled' product? Quiet frankly I dont trust them. Cheer $;)

It controls the bodies production of both the serotonin (digestion) and melatonin (sleep).
If you are struggling with insomnia, then more than likely it has calcified and is not working properly.
It can be repaired natural.

Nice little set-up. I'm still green on the growing side myself but I would say that your plants look like they are just entering into vegetative stage. Their gender should start to show soon. As @thecleangame said, Males have distinct balls and Females have white hairs. If you have a plant that presents as male, it needs to be removed as soon as you can identify it, otherwise you will produce seeds. This isn't a bad thing, because it gives you seed for future gardens but it does take away from the energy that the plant could use to produce resin and you will have to sort the seeds away from the buds once you have your buds properly dried and cured. You can make a fully extracted oil with 30 grams of buds. It will produce 3 ml of finished oil...it doesn't sound like much but when you become skilled at growing it is not uncommon to be able to pull 90 grams off of each plant. In my first grow, I had a Male and my Females got pollinated and produced seeds. I was still able to harvest 68.5 grams off of 3 Females. ;)

But I have never tried it need to ASAP. What alcohol are you using and how long does your process take? Yes, 8 years ago I started by eating RSO everyday after watching Rick's "Run From The Cure" video. I bought my oil directly from a person who was helping Rick to produce it. I stock piled it and just used the last of it up a few months ago. When I got into it, it was right around the time that Rick made the decision to leave Canada and that's when he started living in Europe. I believe he's in Amsterdam now. At any rate, Rick's oil along with a severe eating lifestyle change on my part, put Multiple Sclerosis into remission for me. It is because of Rick Simpson that I am a Cannabis coach today and I just posted a lengthy article about how I made RSO out of the 68.5 grams of buds that I grew. I'm onto garden #2 now and am currently growing 13 plants which look to be a few weeks ahead of your Queens. Happy growing!

@craigcryptotoken I like the play on words in your name sounds like your smoking crypto. I grew a bunch of plants around my pond a few years back and the fish and pond took care of all I just let nature do its thing. Funny thing is they blended in to the other plants and no one noticed them between the other plants growing.
