Being one of the leading cryptocurrency data aggregators, we uphold transparency strongly and that includes updating the community on what we have been doing behind the scenes. It is with the hope that this fortnightly digest can keep all of you updated on our journey.

How's Everyone doing!!
CoinGecko is now officially a witness on Steem! We thank you so much for the support you have given us. We've learned quite a few things about the Steem Community while creating the Steem 2018 Report and Steem by the Numbers. And we thank you for the response we've received.
On another note, We are stoked to know that Steem is officially a part of CoinGecko Beam! We thank @birdinc for reaching out to us and utilize CoinGecko as a platform to communicate with the millions of CoinGecko users and also users of apps that have integrated CoinGecko Beam. For those who prefer a mobile app, these updates will be available on Android and iOS too.
As the Lunar New Year approaches, We like to wish everyone "Gong Xi Fa Cai" and wish for a safe journey and good times for all the Steemians who are celebrating the Lunar New Year.
1. Steem is on Beam
Steem is now available on CoinGecko Beam! We've built CoinGecko Beam for the sole purpose of enabling Projects to communicate directly to their users and supporters through the CoinGecko Platform. With potentially millions in impressions through our website, app, and partners, Steem is now visible to not only Steemians.
2. CoinGecko Steem Witness Announcement
CoinGecko is now a Witness on Steem! This represents our second initiative in participating in a DPoS environment as we explore further into the DPoS/Masternode space. If you haven't done so please consider voting for @coingecko as Steem Witness.
3. Steem Price Feed
We've built a Steem price feed tool called "Steem-price-feed" (pardon our straightforwardness). This tool allows witnesses to report market prices of Steem Tokens to the blockchain to determine the SBD print rate and rewards mechanism. We realize that most of the price feed tools are cron job written to check the price; therefore, we decided to write this script with our web socket.
4. CoinGecko Partners with Axie Infinity
CoinGecko is happy to announce that we have partnered with Axie Infinity, a leading blockchain-based gaming decentralized application. To celebrate this partnership, Axie Infinity will release CoinGecko-themed time-limited, epic Terrarium Item (details below).
5. Sort columns for exchange tickers
You can now sort on the columns when looking at the exchange page of a coin. While exchanges are sorted in descending order of 24h Volume by default, you can now easily reorganize the columns to sort by price etc.. making it easier for traders to spot potential arbitrage opportunities when using CoinGecko.com
6. CoinGecko API Now Supports Market Capitalization
CoinGecko’s Simple API endpoint has been updated and the endpoint now supports a query for market capitalization. Go to our API page for more information.
7. CoinGecko TV
We are happy to roll out a new feature where we curate a list of crypto-related videos and podcasts from selected publishers. Do take a look to watch some of your favorite crypto Youtubers in action!
8. Commits history graph at a glance
Market Cap does not tell the full story of a cryptocurrency performance. CoinGecko also tracks developer performance of the coins listed on the website.
9. Aggregated news for selected coins from multiple news sources
We’ve added an News Section to aggregate crypto news from multiple news sources on selected coins on our website. If you’re interested to get the latest news source in CoinGecko.com. We appreciate any feedback we can get to improve the news aggregation section.
10. Grin
We're very excited to list Grin (GRIN) on CoinGecko.com. We've published a few articles on CoinGecko Buzz to guide users on to How to Mine Grin, How to Send and Receive Grin, How to use Grin Wallet713, and General FAQ on Grin.
On top of that, we've also added a Grin Mining Calculator on CoinGecko.com.
11. CoinGecko in Binance Fair
We attended the Recent Binance Blockchain 2019 Fair in Singapore. We thank those who've reached out to meet us in person. Let's hope we get to see more Steemians in person in future conventions and meetups!
Users can now easily see the visualized commits history of a coin's Github or Gitlab repository.
Coins
We added 142 coins from the 19th of January to the 1st of February.
Fun fact; of the 142 coins listed, only 3 of them have run an ICO. One such coin we've listed (that is now trading) is PTI by @paytomat, the mobile payment solution and wallet built on EOS.
We're also tracking Wrapped Bitcoin (WTBC), which is an ERC-20 token backed 1:1 with Bitcoin.
Scatter has also released RIDL, an identity protection layer on the Scatter Wallet Ecosystem.

Haha, I love that you close with "That's all the updates that we have for you today" - knowing full well you've smashed us with so much news! There is so much here. The partnerships with Enjin and Axie Infinity are amazing! This is a great idea, well done!! Those Red Geckos are total fire.
Have you thought about a similar partnership with @steemmonsters? Surely a Gecko would be right at home in the Earth splinter?
