Is Fishing a Lazy Job?

Surely you have seen people fishing. whether it's in a river, lake, reservoir, sea, fishing pond or anywhere you've seen it. What comes to mind first when you see it? Why bother fishing, just buy at the market, Ahhh basic people lack of work, activities are not qualified, wasting time, not making money, lazy basis. Yes, words that are less pleasant are often heard from my own ears. Yes, I'm an Angler.

What is Angler ...? Angler is a term for people who have a hobby of fishing. Then what's the difference with fishermen ..! Obviously different, Fishermen catch fish to fulfill their daily needs, while Angler catches fish only as a hobby. A hobby that is sometimes seen as Lazy Work.

I personally do not really bother with the title Work Lazy, because they do not understand or fully understand. So, I want to give an overview of fishing activities as a hobby, as far as I know.

In my personal opinion, the notion of fishing as the work of lazy people is an "Old understanding". I say old understanding because understanding is outdated, which nowadays fishing activities have experienced such rapid development. Nowadays, fishing activities have entered the New Paradigm, namely fishing has become no longer limited to Hobbies, but has evolved into Sports / Sport Fishing.

Modern Fishing, which is currently gaining popularity among anglers in Indonesia, requires anglers to use Artificial Bait. Artificial bait itself is an artificial bait whose shape is made similar to certain animals that are usually eaten by anglers' target fish. The form is generally in the form of fish, frogs, or other animals.

There are three basic techniques commonly used in Modern Fishing, namely: Casting, Jigging and Popping. In contrast to fishing using live bait where anglers tend to be passive, Modern Fishing requires anglers to always move actively in playing Artificial Bait. It aims to make the Artificial Bait move like a living animal. The movement is done by throwing the bait to the point that is believed to have fish and then roll the strings while playing the Artificial Bait. This is done continuously until there is a strike from the target fish. Just imagine, it is done from morning to evening, how much sweat is pouring. It's the equivalent of sports.

Speaking of fishing as a Life Style, now fishing is not only belonging to certain circles, everyone can fish. Many stand fishing places in various cities in Indonesia with the concept of each mansing. Some only provide fishing ponds, there are also fishing ponds as well as restaurants or restaurants. So the results of fishing can be directly processed. In addition, there are also many fishing communities in Indonesia. Usually these communities have regular agendas such as MABAR (Fishing Together), Family Fun Fishing (fishing events together involving families) and stocking fish seeds. Those are all positive activities that are worth doing.
