Taking Zappl For A Ride

in #zappl7 years ago

Its exciting seeing all the interesting projects coming off the steem blockchain. since long posts are demanding, I guess Zappl is the answer for times we just want to put some random thoughts out, I only hope it doesn't post to steemit

Sort:

It does post to steemit. Its all con ected.

Every app does.

Yes, I just learnt that. I was only hoping it wouldnt but it seems all Steemit apps work that way.

I keep seeing posts about zappl but I don't really know what it is. So is it another platform related to steemit that is meant to be more like twitter (ie short posts)?

Exactly, it's just like twitter and it looks cool (the mobile app). Only problem is, it posts to your Steemit blog so you cant behave like you're on twitter.

oh I see. Interesting. So if you go on a rant, you would have a bunch of small steemit posts on your blog

Yeah. and Im sure that wouldn't look nice on the blog. It will look as if you're spamming your blog.

yeah thats what I was thinking as well. I guess it depends on the type of writer you are and your following. I could see it working well for some people

Yes it will be good for people who post randomly but I'm sure this won't really work well for your style

Yeah. and Im sure that wouldn't look nice on the blog. It will look as if you're spamming your blog.

I think the most people don´t worry about that. I (for example) resteem a lot of stuff and if the short posts are in a good quality like a "A-Twitterer" i think it works very well.

When you have good and thoughtful short posts. Zappl is a nice way to go and it brings the twitter feeling which I like. But for people who major in long posts, they will keep using the main app.

Sure, quality rulez - short or long ;)

I've tried it too. I also tried #eSteem android app. I also tried #busy.org on browser but I still prefer using steemit.com on my iPhone maybe because I am already used to it. :)

Busy is good. The UI has a lot more details than steemit maybe because it was an afterthought and its like reworking steemit. But steemit is good, I only use busy once in a while.

What I like about busy.org is you can paste html code and upload photos on comments from android chrome but view on iPhone safari is different :( I am shocked when I view my old posts the spacing was terrible gosh 😅

I guess most of them need some work done on them but they are not too bad.

Yes not too bad on android chrome but on iPhone it's not so good 😅

Luckily, I use an android and busy is good on it, zappl looks good on it too. IOS people need to be patient. :)

Yeah I lost my patience today so I will just post my articles at Steemit.com glad I studied basic HTML so I draft as SMS with codes and just copy/paste here hahaha 😂

I have android too but I find it difficult to type 500 or more words there I find easier on iPhone because I am using this since 2015. I am new to android and the size of my android 6 is too big for my palm. I bought it because I thought bigger screen is better :-D

Lol, you need to get your patience back.. I use a 5.5 screen which isn't big but I understand what you mean, I do my posting from the pc just because it's easier than my phone.

I use the markdown too to make it easier for people reading. I will be reading some of your posts soon. :)

Lol, this is not even fun, Im not trying to go on a tweet form rant just to see it in my Steemit blog; @zappl needs to disconnect both.

Every app posts this way, its up to your main app to filter content, That's not zappls job or main focus, as it can be seen we already use filter methods.

I like Zappl, I was excited to see it's like twitter and encourages short content but I was hoping it wouldn't post to the main app like dtube and others because micro-blogging encourages a lot of random thoughts most people wouldn't want on the main blog but I understand that's how every app work on steemit.

but I understand that's how every app work on steemit.

All these apps are not "stand-alone" apps. More like "helping-tools" or supporting features for mobile users. I use steemit only on desktop, but i heared the mobile version of steemit is in the beginning and not "the best solution" to work with it.

Btw. My "vote-assistent" is on the way :)

yeah, i use steemit 70% of the time and Busy the remaining 30. I just saw zappl yesterday and did my first post, I will find a good way to polish my random thoughts so I can use it more. I like most of the helper apps out so far.
