Life Vicarious
She watches sparrows, come and go through the bars.
Spread their wings, touch the sky, duck and dive for fun.
Wings could not save her, she couldn't fly away from the life she had chosen.
Instead she watches the birds, gives her hopes to them.
Written for the zapfic contest where the challenge is to write a story in 240 characters.
