Happy Monday to all!

Moving the body keeps the brain and spirit healthy. It's Science - exercise promotes neurogenesis. And when the brain and body are healthy, the spirits lift!

Science confirms my own experience that yoga is a precious tool for enhancing physical, mental, and emotional wellness - which is why I share it on the blockchain! Life is waaaaay better when you feel happy and healthy, and I want everyone to feel the best they can!

I love yoga because it's a full spectrum approach to enhancing the whole being. I dig this style of videos for sharing movement inspiration, because you can get the gist of an hour long sesh in just a minute or so...but the richer depths of a practice don't shine through. You can't hear my Darth Vader breathing, for example - a legit and important technique for activating power called ujjayi breath.

If you're watching this for entertainment or inspiration and you get enough out of it, that's great and I'm satisfied. If you would prefer I share some instructional stuff to help with your own practice, please let me know in a comment! I am here to be of service to share my wisdom & experience.

Wow... I really love the idea of showing your yoga routine in a time-lapse! Such a great way to show people what it's all about! Having the opportunity to do yoga in nature must be such a blessing, what an amazing way to do your practice - have you ever done it in the rain? I bet that would be an interesting experience!!!

Also - I love that your dogs are trained in yoga and came to join you for some stretches! That was hilarious to see them enter the frame!

I'm going to have to find some people that want to do beach yoga here in Mexico... I'd love to practice by the ocean! (except the sand may be a bit annoying, at least I can take a dip and wash it off afterwards!)

Yes I love rain yoga! I prefer it without a mat if it's a legit downpour, because the mat gets slippery. But it's fine for a light sprinkle. It was thundering up real good day before yesterday, and I thought the skies would bless me with a little rain during my yoga...but alas, it was not to be.

It seems the dogs have a great sense for when I'm getting down - they come to hang out and play at least half the time I'm doing yoga!

I can't imagine it would be hard to find people who LOVE to do yoga on the beach in Mexico! เฅ

Some day down here I would love to just go into the jungle on a rainy day and sit and meditate. I'll get into the yoga some day... baby steps though, just starting to build some routine into my days!

I usually do 30 mins stretching and atleast 30 mins of walking...

Nice! Feels good to move the body! Especially in the wintertime like it is here; things get all tight in the cold.

where u from? here in Thailand it's very hot...

know what? I'm dreaming of snow season ... hoping someday I can witness winter too...

well you'll need to get more vitamins C in a cold weather...

Nothing like yoga to exercise and relax

Get fit & peaceful at the same time! It's awesome!

Yoga has so many benefits, it's good for our body and mind

And soul! It's THE treatment for the trinity ๐Ÿ’›

There is no gainsaying the fact that yoga and exercises are very good for the body. Like everything in existence, when activity slows down clogs take place and death sets in. It sets in in such a very slow, seemingly unnoticed manner that people think they are still alive! @saramiller captures it well in her opening statement:

@saramiller Please share the instructional stuff here. It will go a long way to make it more practicable to follow and utilise.

If you're not living, you're dying! It's amazing to me how many people have already died and are just waiting for their bodies to expire...
I would be happy to share some instructional things, @sungbojus! Are you having any particular physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual issue that I can specifically address for you? Do you consider yourself a beginner or a more advanced practitioner?

Monday is definitely the worst day of the week. But judging by you, yoga helps to avoid dissatisfaction on this day :)

Hahaha I live a pretty low-stress life, and honestly I usually don't even know what day of the week it is! But yoga can definitely help improve the "worst" days :)

Is yoga close to meditation? Because I have a meditation question. When do you think a person starts meditating. After 10 minutes of an assumed position? Or how many minutes in do you think it takes to reach a meditative state.

Yes meditation is an aspect of yoga. That's an interesting question you ask, and there is not a single, easy answer. There are countless forms of meditation! I believe anything done with conscious intention can be meditative - walking can be a meditation. Washing the dishes can be a meditation.

I consider asana practice (asanas are the physical postures of yoga) to be a moving meditation. One of my favorite yoga quotes says, "The pose starts the moment you want to leave it." So that could be an answer - meditation (that is, focused concentration) starts when things get uncomfortable.

I'm going to assume you really mean how long does it take to relax or enter a higher state of consciousness? Which is what many people seek in meditation. Again, that's not so easy to answer. I know people who have trained themselves to be able to enter those states with a single breath. I know others who struggle every time they "meditate" to calm their mind and let go of the constant judgment of wondering if they are doing it "right", and those people never really unlock the infinite potential of meditation.

I will wrap up this comment by saying that when I started meditating, I didn't really know what to expect, and I had doubts as to if it would work at all. BUT I committed to meditating for just 5 minutes a day, and I had to use a timer for it, but I felt 10 times better after doing that. So I kept doing it, and I kept feeling better, and that was enough reason for me to stick to it even if I didn't have profound mystical experiences every time I sat on my cushion.
