Deadline Extend One Day

To make up for the day Steemians were unable to post due to some cyber issue beyond the Rhino's comprehension.
But I know the frustration of techno-glitches and the time wasted trying to figure out whassup.

If so, you have until Saturday (your time, my time, I'm not watching a clock or a calendar) to enter a contest with a $25 prize for the winning story, and all upvote $ going to Rhonda's Animal Rescue.

The Book Rhino launched a fiction contest with three-- count 'em, THREE weeks to write an original story about an underdog who proves his worth.

Please revisit the original contest post to learn more about the theme (underdogs, animal heroes, human heroes).

Theme:

I like to see how a prompt can lead the writer into unexpected places.
The story may derail from the theme I had in mind, but if it's a great story,
it doesn't have to be the story of an underdog, or a rescue dog, or
any creature proving its worth.

If the prompt is what inspired your story,
I won't penalize you for deviating from the prompt.

Pigs, crows, dolphins, even a honeybee, or a human, might inspire your story.
