Lessons Learned in Life

Sims in the Sim 4 game, must meet their basic needs of eating, sleeping, showering, social interaction, and using the restroom to stay in a good mood. Sims are made to reflect our lives here in the world. If the Sims are really like us, then we must also need to meet these basic needs to stay in a good mood and be happy in life.

The Sim's desires also help to raise the Sim's overall mood. The more desires they satisfy, the higher their overall mood, and the less dependent they are on meeting their basic needs to be happy.

If you are in a bad mood, or have been depressed, think about your basic needs, and ask yourself if one of these needs are not being met. If your basic needs are being met, and you are still in a bad mood, perhaps you have been suppressing your desires.

Take the Sim Girl challenge this week, and spend more time during your days meeting your basic needs, and pursuing your desires. Write down what you want to do, people you want to talk with, places you want to visit, and things you want to buy. Then follow through on satisfying these desires.
