SHE DANCED INTO MY SOUL

Kay had been sober for 6 weeks, 4 days, 3 hours and 2 minutes... He was counting.

He was now achieving full mastery over his needs and desires. Self-control which had been the bane of his existence, was now his strongest suit.
Had there been days when the urge almost drove him to insanity? ** YES** ... Sometimes he wished he was a sex addict, at least he could indulge in something that would be healthy, leaving his liver alive to see the next century.

Now being an only child comes with its perks, especially when your parents are the definition of WEALTH. He never had lady problems... fact is, his dating status was always offline. Not a single woman in his life except of course his mum and a few of the pretty maids who have since lost their jobs and have had to leave his family castle, each with a seed planted in them by Kay.

NOT TO WORRY The girls all got lifetime settlements to take care of their sons, leaving Kay to his alcohol.

Kay's decision to stay sober was not because a feminine influence nor was his liver failing him; how could it ? He was just 25 and still in his prime. He decided to stay sober to prove a point to himself that He had extreme control over all aspects of his life.

To pass time while curbing his addiction, he got involved with a lot of things.

  • Chess Clubs
  • Polo Clubs
  • Gambling
  • Vacations

...they all proved futile as he always wanted more. More of what ? Even Kay couldn't answer that question.

Friday the 10th of November 2017, He took a stroll down the sun-lit terraced neighborhood where he lived. He walked straight down for about 6 miles, took a left and met MORE.

         INTERMISSION

This street was a little different from his normal neighborhood. There were markings with spray paint on every wall, hate words designed even the floor of the tarred roads; imprinted with some kind of shimmery-black ink. There were no trees, just very old buildings, most of which a little toothpick thrown at them will bring them tumbling down.

"How could people live here ?" he thought to himself.

What even excited him the more was the fact that he found himself thinking what getting mauled in this street will feel like; all the adrenaline that will rush to his brain when they would hit him, how he would try and fail in attempting to fight back, and of course the feeling of the blood that would trickle down his cute virgin face.

His state of reverie was quickly interrupted by loud music coming from a building to his right; with a large printed sign in-front saying DEFACED.

Curiosity shot through his entire being and he had to take a peek inside. He slightly opened the door, and made his way into the sea of NOISE. The music was so loud that nobody even noticed the heavy-metal click the door made when he shut it, trapping himself inside with a bunch of strangers.

For the next 6 hours he sat and watched these guys swirl, turn and twist in ways that were not humanly possible. He couldn't get bored, nor was he enjoying himself. He just watched.

The song had ended but no one left their spot, they all stood like they were having a mannequin challenge while waiting for something to happen.

15 seconds later something emerged from the shadows in a black dress, moving with such grace that even the swan had no chance against, and dancing to a tune that now stole away the silence.

Something had now broken in him, he couldn't feel the floor beneath his bum no more, he found himself standing; lost in the circles the figure drew with every wave of her hands.

He could see clearly now the white lines that trailed her every move, and remained till she assumed another stance.

What was happening to him ? Why was she different ? How did she have such a tangible hold of his subconscious mind ?

He could now be seen by the entire group because he had been standing right before them lost in a trance for over 60 minutes as the figure danced.

It was now all over but he still couldn't move, he couldn't even as much as stop his eyes from betraying the lust that now consumed him.

THE FIGURE HAD A NAME She was called Sally, at least that was what she whispered in his ear as she brushed past him on her way out of the dancing ring leaving her voice and a paper with her number in his coat pocket, to torment him.

The stern voice of the security guard brought him back to reality. The hall was now empty. "Where had they all gone?" he thought.

His search for more was over. He had found a new addiction.

HE WANTED HER, not because he wanted to know what her insides felt like, but because he needed to lock her up in one of his hall sized rooms and have her dance for him. Have her satisfy his urges with the grace in her steps. He needed that trance every now and then, and only Sally held the key.

He never called the number, He never went back there, and even if he did go back there, it'll be too late because that rehearsal was her LAST.

SHE DIED THAT DAY IN A CAR ACCIDENT ON HER WAY HOME.

A week later when he finally overcame His pride and decided to have his ADDICTION, He learnt of her demise.

Kay bought her corpse, embalmed it with his hands and set her in the middle of that same hall-sized room where he would have locked her up.

Definitely not the ending I was expecting! Good piece man! Did you write this? It's pretty darn good. I like your writing style! Thanks for sharing this!

You are welcome.
To answer your question sir, I did write it.
Took a whole day to put this together.

I had what i wanted to write in mind from the beginning to the end, but somehow Kay's character profiling was taken over by my subconscious.

The ending still leaves my mouth AGAPE even though i am the author.

Thanks once again for reading.

Wow. I can't say that I expected that ending. Kay sounded like a normal guy until all of the sudden we're exposed to his inner desires.

Quite disturbing on many levels, but this was a well-written piece. Thanks for sharing.

if only you know how many normal guys and ladies today, with a heart walled with such tangible desires.

i believe it provoked the exact response i wanted from you.

thanks alot for reading.
