Shipwrecked

I entered the capsule 543961, it was oval a little different from the others. Rows of hibernators ready to launch directly into a black hole full of that familiar liquid, it was water modified to preserve and anesthetize. I remembered the myth of the ancient mummification this was the same only a little more modern and clean.

When entering hibernation I would live a quiet life of a girl of the 70s pre-recorded, pre-lived, each capsule would have its own experience. I had studied this and it was the only way to not lose the notion of the time and keep the brain active.

She was a girl who loved going to concerts and lived in love, flowers in the hair, butterflies in the head and barefoots. The typical hippie, the ones of those that the old people who have lived 300 years always speak of, the ones who saw that thing called TV, I thought it was weird just thinking about it. For centuries, a lens was adapted at birth in the retina with which we could record, play, investigate, scan, it was a camera and thousands of other things that for me was already normal, that someone did not scan in this century was like breathing oxygen, I mean.. Old-fashioned.

I put a memory to run on my retina lens: My wedding, and the destruction.

If I hadn’t chosen the recording for hibernation I would be happily married.I wanted to change and live differently and throw the dice of destiny and my universe paid. They would throw us into nothingness, into emptiness or my brother in law assassinates us. Shipwrecked of our own destiny.
