Major Ria Gallant logged off and donned her private communication helmet to report the development to "the Council".
Like many of it's operatives Major Ria was exceptionally intelligent with a genetically fortified body- human in this case.

I will soon reply with some AW-marked feedback but I will do it on your comment under my own post. I'd like to know if I understood correctly that you refer to the major as 'it' or does the major has at least an apparent gender (since the body is human)?
