CABINET MAKER X #33 Celtic Carving Part 7 The Final Cut!

in #woodworking6 years ago

Hi DTube woodwork Fans,

The ' final cut' is here.

I have been making all the little adjustments and doing the final sanding.

I used a triangular file to get into the corners and fine 240 grit mesh sand paper for the rest.

I gave the back board and the fish a coat of glaze before I attached them together.

This was so I could have a nice flat coat on the back board.

I also had to add the eye. I did this with a simple plug cutter.

Then I just sanded of the glaze at certain key points so that I could glue them together.

All done and I will be delivering it to the client shortly.

I hope I have explained the process in a way that you could all follow.

I welcome any feedback so let me know your thoughts.

This is a fairly easy project to tackle if you are starting to wood carve.

And if you do give it a go make sure you film it and show us on DTube.

If you have any technical questions give me a shout on the woodworking discord channel.

Thanks for watching,

@jist
