The Goose That Laid The Golden Egg
This statue of the goose that laid the golden egg is one of the many animal figures at a park in Kings County, PEI. This is based on a figure from Aesop’s Fables.
“KILL NOT THE GOOSE THAT LAYS THE GOLDEN EGG” is a warning not to become greedy and overreach yourself; not to be come so intent on profit you end up with nothing. There are many children stories based on this principle.
