Image Skills Contest - Fall Colors At Last
All of a sudden, the fall colors arrived in Maryland. On my Sunday hike along the Patapsco River in the Daniels area, I found a couple of shots where the fall colors added some nice yellows to the scene.
The first one is of a little creek my wife pointed out that drains into the river and it had a backdrop of a stand of beech trees showing bright yellow leaves.
Here’s the little creek that fed those little waterfalls.
The last shot is of a gnarled old silver maple that was hanging out over the river. It hadn’t reached its peak colors yet but was showing some nice yellow among the remaining green leaves.

Beautiful shots. And the autumn colors are indeed very nice. Here it's getting a little bit brown already.. but we had some nice colorful week as well :)
Thanks! The leaves will be gone before we know it.
Fascinated with slow capture of movement on water, something to work toward achieving still. Well done with beautiful images for #imageskills with @bluefinstudios good luck in the challenge @dabeckster
Thanks @joanstewart! What type of camera are you using? Some of the Mirrorless cameras make it much easier than it used to be and there’s even apps for the iPhone to do long exposures. Below is a link to some apps to get you started.
