Wednesday Walk Among The Street Art of Tulsa - Lucky Restaurant Employee Entrance
Side Entrance to Lucky's Restaurant just off Cherry Street

Lucky's Restaurant was fine dining at it's best on Cherry Street and when they opened eleven years ago Tulsa was not yet welcoming street art. This mural was the talk of the neighborhood and many people did not appreciate that it was in theirs. However, over time, murals like this started to pop up all over the area and no one really paid much attention to it at that point. Unfortunately, Lucky's was sold this past September and closed just after New Year's. The mural will eventually be painted over by the new owners, but for now, let's enjoy it while we can.

I just love the way the lobster is grabbing on to the drain pipe pulling itself away from the wolf. The whole thing has such an urgency about it and makes you gasp right alongside him!

I looked up the website for the artist and I came up with a bad link, but with more searching, I found out the artist's name was Brian Hampton and he has created a few other murals here in Tulsa. You can see more artwork by Brian Hampton HERE.
The artist's signature, but the website would not come up.

Amazing art @rubberduckiemom!
Very cool mural. Whenever I come across street art I look up the artists, I learned so much lately 😊
Very cool mural! That's an eye-catching design, and I hope the new owners will leave it there for posterity, especially since it is on a wall where the side-door is located!
Here is a cool video of Brian Hampton and four other artists from Threyda painting a mural together. It is fascinating to watch them work!
