NATO as a Threat to Peace and Survival (Part 1)
The Nobel Peace Prize was discredited for eternity when it was awarded to Barack Obama. Even in the past it had already ended up in the wrong hands, but now it was given to a man who did nothing to earn it, and who, as the president of the military force, gave a huge impetus to the threat of peace.
He expanded the scale of wars or preferred military operations, intensified their destructiveness and trickled or eliminated their legal restrictions.That's why I'm talking about military operations rather than wars. In the tradition of international law, the war must be announced, which is the first of the legal restrictions, because a war can not be waged without a proclamation, but it can not be predicted by anyone and for any reason. This was called ius ad bellum. In addition to him, there is an ius in bellum, activated by the announcement of war, and prescribes what is allowed in the war and permissible. Obama, as president of the state, refused ius ad bellum that he did not have to respect ius in bellum.
War with drones
Obama's historical merit is that he has expanded the scope and methods of illegal military operations, thus freeing military violence. A war with drones is a good example. He even made fun of this "achievement". The public wondered why he boasted how good he is when it comes to killing people. Because he, as the supreme military commander, signed orders for extra-judicial executions with drones....every week. The legal basis for those orders has doubtful value and is discussed or at least, was discussed. But in no case it covers unplanned civilian - victims (collateral damage). The number of civilian casualties is rising and the current government does not seem to be trying to stop this trend, as it seems. (Of course, this is not just about the drones). Secret military operations are emerging, which are by definition evading to statutory oversight control.
Under the Obama administration the notorious "War on Terrorism" was transformed into the war, made with the help of terrorism and terrorists. From this point of view, the historic achievement of the Nobel Peace Prize winner is to erase the difference between war and terrorism - the terrorizing of military operations.

Thanks Gez. I think it's pretty important too. People can be frightened with all the lies pretty fast, and that's why lot of americans have nothing against all the happening on middle east and Africa. Europeans (I live in Europe) do not even care what is happening there but only what is happening in the city where they live or in front of their house...
I think its more to do with what they are allowed to see! lots of stories are suppressed and unless its put in your face you don't always see it! I think all decent humans would be outraged at what is happening, but only some like you and I are awake enough to see it, cos we look.
The cracks are beginning to appear its only a matter of time, kind regards GEZ......
