Today I will not change my tradition. Today I'll just make a parallel with Venice. After all, our city is also called the North Venice.

This second name is not accidental. Because the number of our rivers and canals, our city ranks first in Russia and one of the first places in the World. You look at the city from above and you can see for yourself that the whole city is divided by waterways.

These rivers and channels give an amazing and unique image of our city. We are very pleased such a comparison with a beautiful Italian city. After all, Saint Petersburg too is really beautiful city . Many architectural styles are gathered in one place and are the adornment of World culture.

Our city is located on the 60th parallel, which passes through Alaska, Greenland, Oslo and Magadan. This is one of the major Northern cities. So here are the white nights. This is a unique phenomenon. We can see it from may to June. At this time the city does not sleep. Night as bright as day. And then all the beauty of the architecture, sculpture, the beauty of the bridges and openwork lattices appears in a special mysterious way.

In St. Petersburg there are 93 major waterways (rivers, canals, Brooks, streams) , in addition to more than 100 water bodies ( lakes, ponds, artificial pools). 342 of the bridge : movable bridges - 21, 24 - pedestrian and 297 - transport.

There is a historical fact that the founder of St. Petersburg Peter the great was going to visit Venice, when he made his trip to Europe. But he has failed to do so due to the fact that In Russia, the revolt began. He urgently had to go back.

Still a lot of similarities between Venice and St. Petersburg that they were both founded in the spring of. Venice was founded on 25 March 421 years , and Saint Petersburg - may 27, 1703. Venice is located in Northern Italy, St. Petersburg - in the North of Russia. Both cities were once capitals of their States. Both cities are considered cities and museums have a rich cultural heritage. So I think that the name "North Venice" Petersburg has completely justified.

Привет, мои друзья Steemians! В моём блоге я часто рассказываю о моём городе Санкт-Петербурге и делюсь с Вами фотографиями красивых мест, известных городских достопримечательностей или просто случайными снимками, взятыми на улицах, площадях и скверах моего города.
Сегодня я не изменю свою традицию. Сегодня я только проведу параллель с Венецией. Ведь наш город ещё называют North Venice. Это второе название - не случайно. Потому, что по количеству наших рек и каналов наш город занимает первое место в России и одно из первых мест в Мире. Вы посмотрите на город с высоты и можете убедиться сами, что город весь разделён водными артериями.
Эти реки, каналы и протоки придают удивительный и неповторимый образ нашему городу. Нам очень приятно такое сравнение с прекрасным итальянским городом. Ведь Санкт -Петербург действительно красивый город. Множество архитектурных стилей собраны в одном месте и являются украшением Мировой культуры. Мы не перестаём восхищаться тем, что создано здесь руками людей, хотя знаем каким трудным и тяжелым был путь создания и строительства этого уникального по своей красоте города. Ведь город строился на болотах. Топи и зыбкая водянистая почва - это всё что было здесь несколько веков назад. В этом году Санкт-Петербургу исполняется 315 лет со дня основания.
Так как условия для строительства были очень сложными, то в самом начале были вырыты множество каналов для воды. Затем их берега "одели " в гранит. Кроме мелких рек город разделён крупной рекой. Это река Нева. Её длина 74 километра. Это одна из главных достопримечательностей нашего города.
Река Нева является судоходной, поэтому все мосты в черте города - movable bridges . Их поднимают на время прохода больших судов. Обычно это происходит в ночные часы или во время больших праздников и карнавалов. Мы называем эти поднятые пролёты мостов - " road in небо ". Вообще это удивительное зрелище. Тысячи людей приходят посмотреть на movable bridges. Но, это только в ночное время....
Ну, а днём жизнь идёт своим чередом. Здесь всегда много туристов и гостей города. Вы встретите много художников и фотографов. Наши люди очень гостеприимные, а наш город очень позитивный. Здесь каждый находит что-либо интересное для себя. Здесь повсюду вдохновение для творчества.
И конечно никто не откажет себе в удовольствии совершить прогулку по рекам и каналам. Хотя в зимнее время они все покрыты льдом. Но в тёплый период года - это большое удовольствие и много впечатлений. Потому, что с воды город выглядит совсем иначе.

Есть исторический факт о том, что основатель Санкт-Петербурга Пётр Первый собирался посетить Венецию, когда совершал своё путешествие по Европе. Но ему не удалось это сделать по причине того, что В России начался бунт. Ему срочно пришлось вернуться.
Ещё много сходства между Венецией и Санкт-Петербургом в том, что они оба были основаны весной. Венеция была основана 25 марта 421 года , а Санкт-Петербург - 27 мая 1703 года. Венеция расположена на севере Италии, Петербург - на севере России. Оба этих города когда-то были столицами своих государств. Оба города считаются городами-музеями и имеют богатое культурное наследие. Поэтому я думаю, что своё название "North Venice " Петербург носит вполне оправдано.
В завершении моего путешествия я бы хотела Вам предложить маленькую видеозапись , которая была сделана с помощью квадрокоптера. Это работа одного человека, который очень любит этот красивый город. Эта съёмка даст Вам возможность увидеть наш город с высоты птичьего полёта.
