LESSON ONE: The Essence of not having money, inspires you to achieve greatness

"The best Vlogger is the POOR vlogger." It's the same idea behind the "Starving Artist" theory. If you are in a position to only gain, you will create and evolve at an amazing rate because theres a sense of wanting to be seen and paid for what YOU do. Use your disadvantages to your advantage. A perfect example given is @sirlunchthehost. (Which is me..I don't know why I'm referring to myself in third person.) When @sirlunchthehost first started vlogging he would, fall out of trash cans, dig through them and even glorify them. Why did he do it? Because he was pushed to his creative bounds. He took an everyday thing and made it funny again..No money involved. That is the essence of being the Best Vlogger, taking the things in life that are free and turning them into something people can find entertaining..and getting paid! With all that being said, before you need to muster up the bravery to get on camera you need to understand the reason behind why you want to get on camera. Some Vloggers do it because:

1.They love to entertain people.
2.They want to be seen.
3.Wanting to feel wanted.
4.Its a job!
5.Have something important to say.
6.Just natural born talent to vlog.
7.Doing it because someone else can't or inspired by those around you to try it.
8.Last ditch effort to become a HUGE STAR ON STEEMIT! LoL
9.Personal Reasons.
10.Life!

Whatever the reason, make sure its one you can resonate with forever. This reason will be the foundation and start of your vlogging career.

Now I know a lot of people like to say "Don't ever let someone tell you that you can't do something."

But in reality, maybe you should. I know I have and the reason being is; If someone tells me I can't do something I'm going to figure out the following. Why they think I can't and how I can. The only way to do this is to have someone tell you that you can't do something with your ears wide open.Figuring out exactly what they think your weak points are then, checking them for yourself. Regardless of the situation and criticism, your best tool is your ability to listen and observe. After you do this properly then you can convey it via vlogging and your own personal style.

Tips & Tricks for Lesson One:
You don't always need the best equipment to produce the best content. Try buying stuff from Second hand stores or using existing equipment you have. Remember, the less you start off with means the more you have to grow with in the future. Pace yourself and ration what resources you have wisely. Starting up with minimal cost means maximum profit once the ball starts rolling. Which in turn means better equipment later down the road.

LESSON TWO: Getting on Camera is easy, being YOU on camera is the hard part.

A very simple trick to getting over camera shyness is recording yourself doing everyday things. Record a routine that you normally do. Being you is the easiest role to play. It requires no script and minimal effort. You are you when your alone. (Singing in the shower or even naked.) So now its time to be you with a camera, the problem isn't you being on camera, but the fear of viewers not accepting YOU on camera. That and maybe you don't know what the heck to talk about. Regardless, it does not matter if people are going to accept you or not, because in truth.

THERE IS AN AUDIENCE FOR EVERYONE
Sure you won't be packing stadiums every night, but 1 viewer is better than no viewers and you have to start somewhere. Everyone does.

Some Simple Tricks @sirlunchthehost uses:

1.Records himself eating cereal
2.Sleeping.
3.Singing silly songs.
4.Pretending be super famous.
5.Pretending to be a Power Ranger.

Also, you need to realize that its 2017, you are on CAMERA everywhere you go. Grocery shopping, driving, going to the bank, Eateries, Concerts and the most common friends and family phones. So in theory if Cameras are going to be all around you, you might as well get paid to be on them and entertain the heck out of people in the process.

Once you understand this, it becomes very easy to be you on camera. I promise.

LESSON THREE: Having so much to say, but nothing to say at all

Being on camera isn't always about what you say, maybe its about what you don't say. Talking is not everyones strong point and thats a good thing. So before you get scared away from being on camera realize and understand what it is YOU want to do on camera. Just because someone makes it look easy doesn't mean it will be for you. And if for some reason it doesn't come easy you have to step back and think. "Am I going to work hard or am I going to work smart?"

A) Working hard means that you are willing to put in countless man hours to master the craft in which you are not a master in.

B) Working smart means that you are going to master your own craft and what it is that makes you, you.

Honestly there is a time and place for both, but for the start up go with option B

LESSON FOUR: Having the will to vlog isn't always easy, but having will means you already know what it takes to see things through

Some days you might not want to be on camera, it happens and when it does that is fine. Sometimes it might take DAYS to get back into the groove and thats fine. Why? Because you are human, emotions dictate how you vlog. Be true to yourself and in the end you will always be happy with what your doing. Meaning: If you are depressed don't pretend to be happy via vlogs, but while you edit you are miserable. Always be upfront with yourself and do 1 of 2 things. Take the time to work it out or get on camera and talk about it. Who knows someone could be feeling the same exact way and your the only one who can help them through it! Either way never ever put on a fake face for the sake of vlogging, because vlogging is who you are.

LESSON FIVE: Harness an emotion and let it guide you, might it be Love,Rage,Will or Greed you always need to be backed by the raw power of emotions because that is what you convey to your audience. Emotions.

Being able to harness Emotions is tricky, because you are always under the influence of emotions yourself. A basic example of using an emotion to fuel ambition. RAGE When I feel like I can't create or convey something in the manner i want I get angry. After awhile if there is no solution that angry turns into RAGE, but once it reaches this point I use it in my favor. The RAGE that consumes me gets turned into a feeling of strong ambition to want to create some ABSTRACT pieces of content which take myself out of my normal comfort zone.

Try recording yourself breaking something on camera in a fit of rage, play it back and watch how funny you look. Take a moment to realize that other people would find your rage funny. Light Bulb

LESSON SIX: Taking a risk should become like taking a selfie, easy

This lesson is fairly easy to teach.

If you are standing at the edge and can't see the bottom. Jump, because there might be some cool stuff down there, but you will never know just tittering on the edge. There are people built for standing on the edge of life, but you aren't it. You throw caution to the wind and explore the unknown not debating what you know, but trying to seek more knowledge and experiences in life.

"Few men and women are born brave, but the ones who are become Pioneers for those who couldn't be"
-@sirlunchthehost

The Summary.
Vlogging is only as hard as you make it and we all know we can make things damn hard for ourselves. So try to remember that everything just is. You can do it or you can't do it, but you can do something which is like being able to do everything, but nothing at the same time. As confusing as all that sounds it makes sense somewhere.

Practice
Don't be afraid to record yourself and watch it, once you become comfortable with seeing yourself on video so will everyone else. Its like Magic.

Feelings
The Only person putting pressure on you to succeed is you, so always remember to lighten up on yourself from time to time.

Money
This might sound stupid, but enjoy being POOR while you can and remember every idea you had when you were poor. Why? Because those ideas will help you later in life when you've made a little money, but now lack inspiration to create something innovative and new. thumbs up

Will Power
The life of a vlogger isnt always fun and games, sometimes we get down on ourselves and that's okay. Always have the will power to come back from a situation. As long as you live, theres hope that you can make someone else feel good. Keep it alive.

I still a little scared and on the fence about but this helps me at least know what to record. I feel like the normal everyday activities will be a great start but I also want to want to be able to offer something to the viewers that would help them beyond just entertainment... challenging to say the least

Great post thanks for sharing 🙏🏾

Wanting to offer more is a great start.

i already have a discord accounts its just amazing thinks are going great lobe it ☺

Thanks for the support! Vloggers Guild Crew!

Thannnks this guide is one of a kind, exactly what i have been looking for

This was really helpful to read. I considered vlogging, but opted to make videos with characters. Then the design opportunity came along with amazon, and I jumped in with both feet.

I admire how you have done the same with your decision to vlog. You are a natural at it and it comes through on every video.

I can make anything that isn't trademarked or copyrighted. ;D Did you have something in mind that you need on a shirt @sirlunchthehost?

Or anyone for that matter, I can design a custom shirt and have it on Amazon for sale in hours usually.

That's super awesome, when I think of some more designs ill shoot them over to you so you can make some cool gear.!

That sounds like FUN!

A great post. Thank you for sharing!
