Is Terra Virtua The Netflix of VR?

What if you could have access to an unlimited number of worlds and adventures via your Virtual Reality hardware of choice? Would you dive right in and even embrace a blockchain based economy to fuel your virtual life. Well, that's exactly what Terra Virtua wants to offer you.

According to the company's website Terra Virtua is a unique virtual world, focusing entirely on immersive VR entertainment, built around a strong community and social connection.

At the heart of this strong community is an economy driven by the blockchain. Through the exchange of cryptocurrency, users can gain access to new ares, in-game items, skins, upgrades and unique experiences can be bought and sold within Terra Virtua, driven by our token, the Terra Virtua TERRA (TVT). TVT owners will be a vital part of the ecosystem, kickstarting the Terra Virtua economy.

I am of two minds after reading through Terra Virtua's white paper. There is a part of me that looks at all new blockchain companies with a heavy dose of skepticism. Especially when so many hot topic buzzwords are crammed into one site / white paper. We've got it all - Blockchain, Virtual Reality, Kickstarted virtual economies, loot boxes!

When I put that part of me aside I see potential. Why not build a portal to virtual worlds that will evolve with AR/VR technology. It makes sense to build your own system for trade and commerce within that world and blockchain allows you to do so securely and with ease.

For now I'm going to take a wait and see attitude with Terra Virtua but I didn't want to miss the opportunity to share the discovery of this company with you. What do you think? Are you ready to live in a virtual world and work in a virtual economy?
