A contest by Veterans, for the Veterans of Steemit.
Everyone loves a contest, and they really like winning prizes. :-D And since we are trying to build up the Veterans Community here on Steemit, what better way to do just that... have a bi-weekly contest!
So let's get this kicked off shall we!
The rules of engagement:
You must be a Veteran to participate.
Your Mission as a Veteran: you must Scout(nominate) a post that is from another Veteran that you think is worthy of entry into this contest, then upvote that post 100% and give it a resteem! Then you make a comment on the current contest post, with a link to your post that you Scouted, and give us a sitrep on it along with the link.
Once you have completed your mission, you must resteem this post, and give a lil upvote luv! ;-)
You can Scout multiple posts for each contest and not be limited to just one. ;-)
For taking part in the contest, there will of course be some prizes involved.
The prize levels are as follows:
1st Place - 12 SBD - 50/50 split
2nd Place - 8 SBD - 50/50 split
3rd Place - 5 SBD - 50/50 split
All prizes are to be split between the Scout and the Scouted if you get my drift. So there will be 6 winners in total. The winners will be selected by yours truly, and a few select Veterans of the community. We are looking for some good posts from Veterans, and those deemed best win! So let the writer in you shine, and get some good posts out! You might just get Scouted, and win some cool SBD's!
The dates for this contest are as follows:
You can Scout posts from now, May 19th until June 3rd 2018 and the winners will be announced on June 4th 2018.
And if we get more Veterans taking part, and/or get some Sponsors, the prize levels may increase from time to time depending upon prevailing circumstances. The ball is in your court Veterans!

I like her dedication to doing a daily gratitude post, and inevitably something in them will make me smile, like this:
The things that she finds to be grateful for really remind you to find gratitude and joy in the little everyday things in life, and to have the mentality that sunrises and happy livestock are gifts to conciously enjoy each day. We don't have to "have it all" to be happy, we just need that "attitude of gratitude" for what we do have. With all the negativity and filth on the Internet, I appreciate somebody who is striving to bring positivity and goodness to Steemit :)

This video was by @bunny-money. It is seven days old today but it is about honoring her father on Mother's Day. It's simultaneously heart wrenching and heartwarming but the two combined with the smiles of @bunnymoney and her hubby creates the most beautiful video.

Weapon maintenance is something that every gun owner should know and for all those out there that love their 2nd and their guns should know the disassembly cleaning and reassembly of Any gun of interest with or without owning it.
