Damien Hirst - TREASURES FROM THE WRECK OF THE UNBELIEVABLE
In my previous divingpost i asked you if you have ever dived a shipwreck? Well, i decided to make a post about my last visit in venice. There was an exhibition going on in the "Palazzo Grassi" from Damien Hirst. It was amazing to see how much effort and money was put into trying to get as close as the treasures of real ship wrecks!!
Here a little tour thru the exhibition wich I can clearly recommend visiting if by chance you are in venice.
Before you enter the Museum there is a little building also showing art. Its for sure worth a look and its for free. My two favorite shots there:
Once you enter the "Palazzo Grassi" this is what you will find. I still dont know how they managed to put this there but this statue was massive! This is the entrance hall where you buy your ticket. I think it was about 18 Euro each.
Going thru the different rooms finding sculptures like this:
The next image gives you hints that all of this was never real. The title of the exhibition finally makes sense! And Disneyland came out of the ocean ;) This is what i call fake documentary. I have also read in an article that it has raised thousands of angry tweets that all of what the artist was implicating is actually fake.
You know i love sharks so i had to take this one:
What a magic feeling taking a watertaxi over the canals in venice to this museum. As a dive enthusiast it was amazing to see how much effort they have done to make this look slightly real. There was lots of videos shown of divers picking up treasures in the ocean.
If you want to see real diving videos and wrecks i recommend you to check following posts. I would also be happy to discuss my experiences. Just leave me a comment below or contact me!

Hey, I saw your post in the discord channel and thought I'd check it out. Wow, diving a shipwreck sounds like something people only do in movies. It's weird how the thought of a diving a shipwreck never crosses my mind, but now that you mentioned it... I want to do it.
Was some of that art 3D art? Thanks for sharing this awesome stuff from Venice! Taking a water taxi to get to the the exhibit even soudns fun!
Heey, posts like this are exactly the reason why i came to steem and want to post more :) thank you for that! May i ask in which discord you found me? I would love to have a small chat with you there since we have very similar interests :) (my discord id: #5896)
I will defenetly follow you for more travelblogs! Who knows maybe one day we will hit the road together ;)
In this museum in venice there was not rly 3D art but venice is full of art and there also is 3D :)The imagei made here for example is one big lightbulp in front of a mirror that makes it look endless. The lightbulp actually writes the word "google". But you can only read it from a certain angle :)
Your response to this is the reason I keep steering!!! So thank YOU.
I found you in the crypto empire discord chat.
I'll try to find you with your ID, would def love to chat. Hitting the road together would be awesome too.
Whoa, that lightbulb thing is so cool!

That sculpture is soooo huge! I'll look like a dwarf if I stand on one or an ant even! I love the real-life sculptures they are very realistic. i know that's redundant but the details are just so awesome!
yeah detailing was amazing, i think it took like arround 5 years until he published his art in form of this exhibition. Was nice to see!
Am glad you had fun. I'd probably fall in love with the place. ^^

greetings and success
amazing statue of the woman warrior with the bear. do you know the back story on her? is she Hecate?
Yes indeed it is amazing! Im not rly sure if this specific statue has a back story, in my post i state that all this art is like a "fake documentary" so everything is actually invented and never was a treasure of the sea :) But who knows, could be hecate :D
