FYI: Halong Bay (Ha Long Bay) means “Bay of Descending Dragons”. A UNESCO World Heritage site, and is often included in lists of the magnificent world's natural wonders.

Location: Halong Bay is approximately 180 km (3.5 hrs) east of Hanoi and situated in Northern Vietnam. Dubbed as most beautiful and the most sought-after destination in Vietnam.

Impression: Coming from the Philippines, a country that is also blessed with natural wonders, I concur, Ha Long Bay's natural beauty rarely fails to impress. The jagged towering limestones complement the emerald bay perfectly.

Things To Do: The Ha Long region is popular for scuba diving. One can also do rock climbing and hiking, just head out to another famous island destination, Cát Bà and explore the mountainous Cát Bà National Park.

To sum it all up, the trip to Ha Long Bay is an adventure in itself. Looking at its seascape from afar gives you that relaxing feeling. But what better way to experience this magnificent place is to be on a cruise. Imagine, serene scene + boat = perfect! And to top it all, when the sun hits the water and the reflection encompasses the distance between limestones, now that is indeed picture perfect! I could drown in sheer happiness!
