Dockless Scooters are in San Diego California Too! vehiclephotography
I have been posting about the dockless bikes that are over littering San Diego California, and now it looks like scooters have also appeared. These three scooters are rentals and they are left out in the way of pedestrian traffic. I saw these during the July 4th festivities in Coronado California.
These are “Bird” scooters. They are motorized, can go 15 mph, and are causing controversy in California cities where they appear. You can rent them anywhere you see them and you are supposed to be licensed, over 18, and wear a helmet. Who randomly carries a helmet?
Apparently, these scooters can be located by GPS and are picked up each night in order to be recharged.
I see lots of pain ahead as this trend goes on.
