Introduction

After a long pause, I'm here with an insightful note about skill and talent. Knacksteem has been on the steem blockchain for some time now which most people but not all are aware. In my previous post , I discussed some advantages and why it's cool to be a part of the project. I also pointed out and explained some categories on the platform.

Today, I'm set to bring you some categories on knacksteem with some explanations. Also, I will be glad to unveil the recent update and some development that has occurred after my first blog. It's obvious that a lot has happened, and I can't wait to tell the story to my beloved readers. Before I start hitting the nail on the head, let me explain knacksteem to those who don't know what it's all about.

Knacksteem is a dapp built on steem blockchain for everyone to display their innate and acquired skills. I know everyone has their definition of skill and talent but still, permit me to give my insight on it.

Talent is the special ability to do something with little or no training. It comes as an intrinsic ability.

A skill is a type of work or activity which requires special training and knowledge

Skill isn't much different from talent as they are both pointing towards the same direction. Talent is inborn, and skill is acquired. Irrespective of how they both come into existence, Knacksteem is a hub for all that has the ability.

Knacksteem has different categories where you can show your talent and skills to the world. I choose to talk more about the art that has to do with talent and skill in this blog with technology as a brace.

Art has different branches like drawing, Music, Acting, Comedy, to mention but few. All these deals with human creative skills and ability.

Everybody can talk except the dumb, but not everyone can make people laugh. This partly depends on the type of temperament you have. Sanguine, phlegmatic, melancholy and choleric all have different communication temperaments. If you are a Nigerian, you will know these artists. Basket mouth, AY, Akpos, and Jennifer, with her nonsensical English. Attending a night of a thousand laugh can make you laugh and forget your hotel room number. I also know about some Canadian comedians who will make you laugh and forget the name of your spouse. I almost forgot my Head at the cenema after watching John Candy, Jim carry, and Laslie Nelson in their funny act. There are still some comedians that I love so much.

These characters are very talented. Making people laugh is unique and interesting. If you have this type of talent, you are welcome to make people laugh away their itch and have fun.

I do tell people that everybody can sing. Yes, I'm certain, but I'm sure that most songs we sing are the work of some artists. I'm not a French guy, but I can sing Despacito by Luis Fonsi featuring Justin Bieber. I am sure that you can also sing one song or another. Music is life, and the joy we derive from listening to it is exceptional. In all sincerity, music is an expression of emotion or the voice of the soul.

In this case, not everyone has a good voice or have the capacity to create nice lyrics. There are only a few people endowed with this gift. Knacksteem is a place for such people to show their talent. The platform is ready to encourage and bring them to limelight via the steem blockchain.

Knacksteem supports skills and talent. What then does it has to do with tech trend? I want to say this; Mike Tyson will never found a School without the Boxing department. Robert Kiyosaki will not create a School that lacks giving the knowledge of how to become rich. And of course, Donald Trump cannot do without sky scrapper in his mind. I guess the founder of knacksteem has a personal flair for Technology.

Technology has taken over almost all sphere of life. From the way we live to our businesses, Schools, Companies and so on. Tech has taken over most of the things we do with our strength. The machine has overthrown some tasks from man. The security of oil pipeline is now easy. Leakages and vandalization can be detected by monitoring it using sensors and algorithm. Every day, the evolvement of technology is bringing about more innovations and information across the world. Thereby changing the way we work and interact with others. The review of any invention or technological innovation is what knacksteem want you to bring to the platform. Keep others abreast of what is in vogue in the world of technology and get rewarded for being tech-savvy.

Knacksteem has a new UI

A few months ago, there's a lot of complaint about knacksteem UI which affected the contribution of people to the platform. This challenge propelled @knowledges to source for developers by creating a task request. This was posted on utopian with enticing steem bounty. The developers that responded to the request worked on the following.

1. UI optimization on PC, Tablet, and mobile devices.
2. Moderation tools
3. Similar post feature
4. User profile page
5. Sponsor and moderator web page
6. Voting slider

After the developers worked well on the project, a new knacksteem interface emerged.
The new interface is more friendly compared to the former one. There is no doubt that the developers did a great job in making the project more unique.

Is Knacksteem preparing something interesting for all? Let's take a quick look at knacksteem updates

Knacksteem planned to create knacktoken (KNT) immediately SMT comes live this year.

A smart media token (SMT) is a native digital asset on the steem blockchain.
It can be quickly launched by anyone to help monetize online content and create incentives to encourage desired user behavior.

This aligns with the aim and objectives of knacksteem, which is rewarding desired human behavior through the value created to the steem blockchain from their skills and talent.

The creation of knacktoken will enhance the smooth movement of knacksteem in rewarding its lovers more. The token was distributed across all areas on knacksteem based on assumption. Below is a bar chat to illustrate how the token was distributed.

Knacksteem also came up with the idea of a knack store where buying and selling can take place on the steem blockchain.

The creation of knack store isn't to sell can pepper or frozen Chicken, but the commodities made from skills and talent. I will be using @ckole and @finegirl as a case study for a brief explanation on how transaction process would be like on knack store.

• @ckole love @finegirl's design, contact her and agreed on a price.
• @ckole sends the agreed price in Token with the product id to knacksteem escrow.
• Knacksteem escrow confirms the transaction and sends a signal to @finegirl.
• @finegirl ships the product to @ckole.
• @ckole recieves and sends a signal to knacksteem escrow.
• Knacksteem escrow transfers the token to @finegirl.

Transaction completed

I love the fact that knacksteem escrow will be the intermediary between both parties. It's a good measure to fighting fraud and deceit in every transaction made through knacksteem.

Be among knacksteem token holder

It's easy how time flies. A few days ago we were making merry about moving to the new year 2019. Today, those days are behind us. Before we say, Jack Robinson, 20th of January will creep in. This is the day set to start the distribution of knacktoken. There are diverse ways in which anyone can be a token holder.

1. Contributing to knacksteem by submitting your contributions. : Contributors are eligible to earn at most 250 knt depending on the score merited between 0 - 100%

2. Through referral program. : Every referral makes you earn 2kn and each comment gives 8knt to the user. The new person referred will also receive some token as a welcome gift to the platform.

3. Comment and upvote content. : some token was also reserved for each upvote and every comment.

4. Initial coin offering ( ICO). : This is for external investors who wish to support the project by investing in the platform. 10million was set aside for this purpose, and it will start immediately SMT lite comes live.

5. By delegating SP to the platform. : Apart from the 12% beneficiary reward distributed in proportion to the amount of steem power delegated, delegator will also receive knacktoken daily. See below the amount of token that can be made from delegations.

You can generate a lot of token through the delegation technique. Please see how you can calculate your earnings on amount of SP delegated.

10 million KNT is reserved for @knacksteem.org SP delegators in which 100,000KNT will be distributed to SP delegators daily. This will be distributed according to the share of SP delegated to the knacksteem official Steem account (@knacksteem.org). In more detail, @knacksteem.org currently have 584 delegated SP. If a user. (Let's say @bob) delegates 200 SP to @knacksteem.org, this is how @bob's share will be calculated; 200x100,000KNT/584= 34,246KNT. This is calculated as Amount delegtedxThe total KNT share on daily basis/The total delegated SP to @knacksteem.org. This means @bob will get 34,246KNT daily. While this may seem huge, the number will scale down as we get more SP delegators which is a good thing, as this will cause the value of the token to rise due to demand. However, the more SP a user delegate, the more KNT they get.
