Introduction

I’ve been opportune to be part of knacksteem from the beginning and I’m very glad to see it launched. knacksteem open diverse opportunities for all and potential steemian to come on board. There are projects on Steem blockchain, but none has ever encouraged the promotion of skills. It's good to know that knacksteem came up with an amazing project for all and sundry to display their talent. So, if you are unfamiliar with where you fit on steem blockchain, knacksteem is here.

Definition of knacksteem

The meaning of knack combined with steem, already defines knacksteem. This simply means talent on steem blockchain.
Simply put, Knacksteem is an open source platform built on steem blockchain where different skills can be displayed. It is created to allow different people from all works of life to showcase their skills and get rewarded. knacksteem started operating two weeks ago, and people have started contributing through the platform which I’m sure that more skills will be displayed.

Knacksteem categories

When we talk of talent the first thing that should drop in our mind is which type? There are several skills possessed by different people and considering this, knacksteem came up with categories to suit all differences. These eight categories are listed below.
Jokes and humor,Art, DIY, Tech Trend, Documentation, Gaming, Music, Altruism.

knacksteem only started with these few and as time goes on, others will be added to cut across every skill as suggestions are received from contributors.

Why you need to join as a contributor

Everybody is gifted one way or the other just like I've specified, but it's hard to get acknowledged with what you bring to the table. Since rivalry has assumed control over each circle of life and on the off chance that you are not powerful, there is a tendency that you will be sidelined. Presently think about a place where you don't need to know anybody before you get perceived through your abilities. Envision a stage where you get remunerated for your abilities on a silver platter. There's simply no two ways about it. Once you have something to exhibit, you are an important member of the community and you are welcome to join us at the drop of a Hat.

Pass the fun

Are you a gamer? This part of the knacksteem category is mainly for you. The excitement and fun you had while playing the game can be shared on knacksteem. The gaming category is here to welcome the details of your adventure on that game you’ve exploited. I don’t know if you still remember MARIO game. This was the first computer game I bought with my savings many years ago. At first approach, it was difficult to pass some levels, especially the part that leads to the princess, but I was able to get an escape route after a series of failure. One part I will never forget is the hugging of the pole at the end of every level. You can jump and hang at the top of a flag to earn more points before entering the mansion that leads to another level. The fun is always unlimited. Have you played CONTRA, GOD OF WAR III AND III, ASSASIN’S CREED, BATMAN, RED DEAD REDEMPTION, THE LEGEND OF ZELDA, and PRINCE OF PERSIA and so on? Share the fun with others. As a gamer, there’s always this joy felt once a barrier is broken in every mission. Feel free to put it into writing and submit on knacksteem for game enthusiasts to share their experience through comments. I bet it’s going to be fun.

Do it yourself (DIY)

This is another category where you can show your creativity. Many are waiting for you to put things together and come up with something unique. That thing you know how to make/repair that doesn’t seem to be a big deal is what some seeks at all cost. Are you good at weaving? Are you a chef? What craft are you good at? Do you know how to fix or make anything fantastic? Come and share your idea with knacksteem. Let people learn and benefit from your excellent idea and get rewarded.

Why I think Knacksteem will be successful

There is hardly anyone without a particular skill. Looking at the world’s population today, there are over 7 billion people and with the rate at which the world increases, there will be fewer opportunities to secure a place to practice what can be done best as time goes on. With Knacksteem around, this problem is half solved. The opportunity it will render to the world to display their talent is part of what will boost the platform. There will be traffic on the steem blockchain and this will really help the movement of the project and attract investors.

However, the idea behind knacksteem is not common. If properly checked, you will discover that there is no platform on steem blockchain that shares a similar purpose with knacksteem. This platform came with a difference for every individual to present their skills. I believe many will like to support such a platform that creates a diverse opportunity for the general public to do what interests them and get rewarded in doing so.

Nevertheless, I’ll also like to add that behind every successful and outstanding project, there is always a dedicated and intelligent team. Knacksteem has got a team of quality individuals that has been working closely with the founder to make sure the project is successful. Their flair for this great platform kept them working daily to make it better.

Impacting and reshaping lives

The level of poverty in some countries increases on a daily basis which makes it difficult for most of them to survive. I had an encounter with some on steemit and it's very painful to see all these set of people struggle to make a post that hardly gives them 5 cents. Steemit has housed lots of people from different works of life and these people hope to make ends meet or probably improve their standard of living. Only those with special intelligence and skills could fit into most platforms and have a place, while those with average or below average skills are left to struggle.

I believe knacksteem will be a home for such people to exhibit their skills and get rewarded for what they know how to do best, which will gradually serve as a means of alleviating poverty. Somehow, a place has been created to ease the frustration encountered as a result of an inability to get noticed.

However, unemployment is one of the primary challenges that is globally affecting all of the country's economy but worse in the developing countries. Let me explain what I
mean by unemployment.

It is when those who are strong and able to work couldn't find a job they can do to earn a salary for sustenance, which can lead to crime and violence, especially on the part of the youths.

knacksteem in this regard will not only provide an opportunity for these set of people but also reduce crime and violence as many are on-boarded and engaged on the platform.

Nevertheless, the presence of knacksteem will help encourage the development of skill especially on the part of most undergraduate. The reliability of the government for jobs after graduating will be reduced and this will lead to a society where everyone will be engaged in one vocation or the other for self-development.

Delegators

In other to help knacksteem completely achieve its aim and objectives, delegators/sponsors are needed. The platform aim at rewarding skills thereby improving the well-being of people in the society, and this cannot be achieved without support from fellow steemian and other philanthropists in and outside the steem blockchain. Mostly knacksteem is seeking support in the form of steem power that can be delegated to help reward the members of the platform. There is no wasted effort in being a part of the progress. Reward plan has been set aside for all sponsors by making sure that 12% of the 15% beneficiary reward is distributed according to the steem power delegated. The community will be glad to have you join the train as they move to create a ground where all will get the best of both worlds.

Recent development

knacksteem founder @knowledges, has been enormously working to make sure everything is in place. He has continued to make necessary changes to improve the design of the platform.
Some complaint was gotten from users that they couldn’t log in through https://knacksteem.org which I believe is as a result of bug but I’m glad to tell you that it has been fixed. Alternatively, you can log in through the landing page. However, development of the new UX/UI is going on and I believe it will soon be completed.

Conclusion

Joining Knacksteem is a good decision, and the advantage it holds will make a difference in the lives of every individual. You are welcome as you join Knacksteem, home for the talented.
