Actifit is moving; Better days ahead of SMT's

Introduction

I'm glad to continue the Actifit blog series. It has been a good experience keeping fit and staying healthy. All thanks to the forces behind the project.

Previously, I reviewed the actifit.io landing page, and it was such an interesting article. If you don't mind, you can click this link to read it. As always, I won't forget to say thank you to all my followers. Thanks a great deal.

Today, I'm going to be talking about some new features that were implemented by Actifit. Also, I won't hesitate to make a gist on some things that have been going on both on actifit and the Steem blockchain.

Just recently, the actifit sign-up competition ended with @Jasonshik as the winner. He was awarded 100 Steem with afit token, and his referral reward. @runridefly and @michealb came second and they were rewarded with 60steem each.

The competition was fun, and all the participants had a great time bringing their friends and families into the world of fitness. Hopefully, we are expecting more competitions in the future.

What is Actifit?

I'm sure to some extent that actifit on the Steem blockchain isn't a baby project. Although it's not up to a year it launched, its visibility is at the speed of light. In case you haven't come across Actifit, its a project built to incentify healthy lifestyle. Actifit rewards your daily activities. It's not a difficult task to achieve. You can read the article below this blog to learn more about the project. You will be glad to join the platform.

Recent updates. IOS feature updates.

Actifit has been up and doing in greasing the wheels of its platform by furthering the implementation of new features. The development of some features in the IOS version that has been ongoing for some time has been completed. Many people had waited tirelessly for the upgrade which took a little longer than expected. Thanks to @mcfarhat for altering processes in making sure the new IOS update is a reality. The new features implemented are listed below.

The new image upload feature

• Markdown editor preview display

• New camera capture feature

• New Fitbit integration allowing syncing device/account data to Actifit

• New setting for choosing tracking mode (phone sensors v/s Fitbit)

• New setting for choosing to include/exclude Fitbit measurements within sync

• New setting for STEEM pay options: 50/50 (default) or 100% SP payout.

• Auto-saving of post content while typing to avoid data loss

• Maximize AFIT token payment option on posting a report

• Dynamic resizable charting preview on activity history

• Configurable daily posting reminder(settings)

• User name and rank display on the main screen

All these above features are also available on the Android version, which I reviewed some time ago. Since they work the same way, you can read this article to learn more about how these features work.

Actifit comment support

It's impressive to see another feature implemented on the Actifit.io website. In all honesty, these features are striking. Users can now comment on Actifit post and also vote from the landing page. Sequentially, users would be able to use the website for many things without using a third-party platform. If as an actifitter, you've not been using the Actifit.io website, you are missing out. Upvoting other actifitters report through the website gets you three afit tokens. Editing through the same channel gives you another 3.

Voting power and voting value

For the sake of those that doesn't understand voting power and voting value, Actifit has implemented this feature into the voting box to give information on how it works for them to understand. By tapping the up vote button on Actifit report card, a box will be displayed showing the voting value, voting power, and when the voting power will be full in percentage.

Now that a lot can be done using the Actifit.io website, there's no point using other platforms for similar purposes.

SMT Market initiative in Day bit exchange

I came across a post by @steemhunt introducing the initiatives to create a trade market for SMT in Day bit exchange. At least, it's a step forward to realizing our dream of having tradeable tokens. Last week, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was made by steemhunt regarding listing SBD/Steem to create a trade market for SMT's. Below are the MOU contents.

• List Steem and SBD tokens on Daybit

• List the temporary SMT tokens on Daybit (such as ERC20) with STEEM trade pairs

• Support fundraising for SMT projects via IEO (Initial Exchange Offering)

• Support token swap of those temporary tokens to the SMT version when it’s ready

• Support fiat currency trade pairs for the SMT tokens that have enough market volume

How does this concern Actifit?

Actifit is part of the few dapps on the steem blockchain that has shown interest in the initiative.

Alongside some dapps, Actifit will be listing its token (Afit token) on Daybit exchange as soon as it kicks off. It's a good thing that @coingecko will also be supporting this initiative by helping to monitor the SMT market through his crypto website. By the time this is achieved, holders would be able to convert SMT to other cryptocurrencies and Fiat.

Actifit Radio show

The first show started at 8 PM GMT/UTC over at The ramble discord. This awesome idea came up in other to engage actifitters, and potential ones on an additional discussion.

The Radio show educates everyone on the platform, as well as share information about health and fitness journey. This programme will help in bringing community members more together. @wil.Metcalfe was the main guest on the first Radio show, and he did well by sharing his experience as a trainer for Ten years. It's quite unfortunate that I was unable to attend, but I listened to every bit on the audio recording.

The second Radio show was done a few days ago (on Friday) and it was interestingly awesome. I was able to attend, and I enjoyed every bit of it. @theycallmedan was the guest speaker, and I must confess that the guy is fantastic. According to him, he said he lost 100 pounds weight in 4 months. That's huge right? I also reacted to it. He did a wonderful job to achieve that within that period. I think this is good news for those longing to reduce their weight. If he can lose as much as 100 pounds in 4 months, you can also do the same if you are determined. Before I draw the curtain, I want to say that Actifit is doing a great Job on the Steem block chain. I appreciate every effort put into making the project outstanding. As the good work continues, supporting the platform will make it more prominent. You can support the project by delegating to it.

The amount of delegated SP has a large influence over not only the daily/weekly delegation reward, but also on the amount of rewards the actifitter receives on daily reports, as it constitutes a key element in User Rank.
