Hello, I am glad to be back with the continuation of my actifit blog.
I appreciate all the readers, and I am grateful for taking your time to go through the first series.
I wrote about my review and how actifit has helped me to achieve some result in my daily living. I went down to explain how I heard and started staying fit with the help of actifit as a motivator. I wouldn't, want to dive deep into my last post in this series. You can get the details here.
Today, we will be looking at some unique features present on the Actifit fitness tracker. I only mentioned in my first post how easy and user-friendly Actifit tracker is but I will explain its features today to confirm my words.
Nevertheless, there are some important things I've learned from being an actifitter, and I will love to discuss it as well. You might be surprised after reading through the list, but that is the way I improve myself. I learn from the environment.

FEATURES

Actifit tracker has five features on the main page of the app which are all designed in an easy way for users consumption. They are all listed below.

  1. post to steam
  2. snap an acti pic
  3. view tracking history
  4. view daily leaderboard
  5. view wallet / settings

Before these features can be useful, there must be a step count. If there isn't any step tracking by the device, the usefulness of this feature will not be visible. please read on as I explain actifit fitness tracker features listed above.

POST TO STEEM

Screenshot_20181231-114428.png

This feature enables the user to post the counted steps to steemit. For those who don't know what Steemit is all about, it is a social media platform for content creators built on the Steem blockchain. For anyone to be able to post on steemit and other d apps, they must create an account.

To me, post to steem is the most important feature because contents are created and transferred to the steem blockchain via this page.
You can choose your activity types, track your measurement, describe your day's activities by writing about what you did to get your steps counted for the day. Plus upload images of your choice to make your post alluring. However, the fit bit sync is also a feature that is very important on this page. If you are a fit bit user, you can sync your fit bit device data to actifit and post to the steem blockchain.

SNAP AN ACTI PIC

Mostly, people like taking pics when they are well dressed and looking pretty, handsome, cute or beautiful. Sure, everyone loves looking good, and there's no doubt that no one will like to appear odd. To a little degree, acti pic is different. I wouldn't for once forget most of my look each time I snap an acti pic, especially when I've done series of workout and sweating like a Christmas goat. Still, I appreciate the look because it's a journey to staying healthy and physically fit.
On the contrary, you can still take acti pic when you are not stressed out. It is clear on the list of activities that anyone can count their steps while moving around in the office, shopping, walking, and so on which means you can still be in your beautiful dress and snap an acti pic.

By and large, this feature can be used to snap pictures of your daily activities and posted along with your write up.

VIEW TRACKING HISTORY

Screenshot_20181231-114516.png

History is synonymous with past occurrences. Just as actifit has its history, every actifit user have their usage history of the actifit tracker.
The date and total activity are recorded on a daily basis only if the tracker is used to track steps for the day. However, there's another page showing the activity chart history where a red line differentiates all step count above and below five thousand.

VIEW LEADERBOARD

Screenshot_20181231-114614.png

The sole aim of actifit is for people to keep fit and get rewarded, but partly, it encourages competition among its users. As we all know that there's always a place for all participants, every actifitters is a winner, but yet there will still be some people that will occupy 1 - 10 on the list. This thought brought about the idea of a leaderboard on the actifit app.
The leaderboard comprises the names of first ten actifitters with the highest count usually compiled on a daily basis.

VIEW WALLET / SETTINGS

actifit_design.png

Since actifit has a token, there must be a place where this token will be accessed. Users can check their Afit token balance in the wallet as well as view their transaction summary.

However, the settings page on actifit cannot be left untouched. It has some beautiful things that spice up the app even more. The Steem post-payout can be used to set up reward payment either in full SP or Stem/SBD. You can donate to charity via this same page and at the same time set a daily post reminder.

MY VIEW ON ACTIFIT TRACKER FEATURES

Just as I've earlier mentioned, the features are fantastic and very easy to use. The user-friendliness makes it more unique. Anyone can use the app without asking much questions on how to go about it. That's fantastic. However, viewing all acti pic via the app will be very cool.
Uploading acti pics will be made easy because the pictures will be selected from the acti pic folder directly from the app and not from numerous ones in the phone gallery.

Furthermore, the leaderboard shows the daily top ten actifitters which is nice, but I don't think there's a way to know more about the past leaderboard champions and how many times they've appeared on the list, which is why I would love to see the leaderboard history embedded in the daily leaderboard.

The history would display how many times each champion has climbed the ladder and their position on each progress, which will make us know the all-time best actifitters through the app.

KNOWLEDGE GAINED

I love contributing to topics I understand when I am in a gathering of friends because of the fun we all derive from talking about life and other things in general. Sometimes when I don't understand a particular topic of discussion, I shut my mouth and listen to those that have the idea. Ever since I've been an actifitter, I've been able to understand some terms and their importance in our lives which gave me the idea to teach others that do not understand it when related discussions arise.

The aerobic exercise which is also known as endurance exercise boosts human physical health by allowing the brain to release a hormone called endorphins which serves as body natural pain reliever and increase mental functioning.
Some of these exercises are distant running, sprinting, swimming and every other workout that requires more energy.
These are said to be an aerobic workout that also helps to reduce depression.

However, I also got to understand one fact. I noticed that when most people start exercising for the first time in many months, they often feel pain all over their body thereby discouraging them from continuing the process.
I'm glad to tell you that it is normal to feel the pains because your muscles are just beginning to engage in stress. It is called delay onset muscle soreness (DOMS).
The pain is as a result of damaged muscle fiber incurred in the process of the exercise or workout.
These muscles now repair, restructure, rebuilds and get stronger within a short period. It is never a thing that should discourage you from keeping up with your workout. All thanks to prof Joseph for analyzing this in his seminar.

RECENT INFORMATION / ANNOUNCEMENT

Hello, @ckole!

Thank you for another nice contribution. As I have mentioned before, I like this series of yours so much. Your review is comprehensive and well-illustrated with relevant graphic content. Keep up the good work.

On the content side, I must admit that I like all the information provided. You gave a thorough analysis of the app's features that were mentioned in your post, and also managed to make this post personal by sharing your own knowledge and views; I know I have said it all before, but this is the kind of content we like to see in blog posts. It goes without saying that I appreciate the effort you put into your work.

That said, there were style and proofreading issues, making your text difficult to comprehend at times. Regardless, you did a good job, and I look forward to your next contribution.

Happy new year!
