Upfundme Steem Monster Starter Pack Post #014
I would really like to be able to play Steem Monsters with my friends. I hear that I am able to obtain cards to build a deck via give-aways but I do not have a starter pack which prevents me from joining the tournaments. I was discussing this with my friend and they suggested I try an crowdfunding option. So here I am asking for help to obtain the Starter pack. I will be using 100% of all liquid funds from these upfund posts for the purposes of obtaining a Starter pack.
Goal is ~ 13 Steem / 11 SBD for $10 starter pack.

I have no idea what an "upfundme" is, but I was in a similar position to you, having been given some #steemmonster cards initially which started the craze, then winning more in competitions, but not being able to afford my own Starter Set. The way I got started was by entering competitions with prizes of $ˢᵗᵐ as well as the regular competitions for SM cards. I was fortunate enough to be one of the winners in one of @coruscate's competitions (back in the good 'ole days when people were still giving way $ˢᵇᵈ as prizes, haha). Maybe if you enter some competitions where the prize is $ˢᵗᵐ, and build up your holding, you can buy your own Starter Set of monsters like I did. 😉
#upfundme #crowdfund and #crowdfunding are all hash-tags used to ask for public assistance towards a goal. Read the comment below yours from @upfundme to learn more about it. I have entered a bunch of contests and keep entering them but don't seem to have that good of luck.
Thank you for the information about @upfundme. I had not previously come across this form of crowdfunding on the Steem blockchain, although I'm only very new here myself (only 74 days at present, compared to your 196 days). I have upvoted some of your upfundme campaign posts just now. I'm still receiving part of the original 15SP Delegation from SteemIt Inc from when my account was created, although my Vote Weight is comparatively high because I have also received some very generous Delegations from others here in the community.
I do hope you get your Starter Set soon. Then you'll be able to get started with your #steemmonsters collection, which I see you haven't even started yet at all. I'll send you a couple of commons to get you going.
