Looking for Freedom and found it encased in concrete at the bottom of the ocean!
Ten months ago I came to this platform for one reason, to escape the tyranny and censorship of Facebook. I came here because I found the Steem blockchain to be distributed, open source and decentralized. There is no one single authority to shut me down or shut me up. Nobody can stop me from posting to the blockchain. If people don't like what I have to say, they are welcome to move on or mute me so that I don't show up on their screen. If people do like my work, they upvote it, resteem and even comment. I've done well despite my stance and confrontation of violence, abuse, etc.
Just over 24 hours ago Alex Jones Facebook, Youtube, Apple and Spotify accounts were taken down. In March the same thing happened to Mike Adam's Natural News channels. Many more have seen the ugly side of censorship and digital book burning at the hands of centralized corporate censorship. The centralized governments of the world engage in similar tactics as they pass laws to shut people up, keep things secret and dumb people down.
While I don't agree with Alex and many others, I must stand and defend their right to speak their mind. The moment we take any step to shut somebody else down, freedom dies as we end up doing the same to us. We start making rules to outline what is acceptable speech and before long it gets corrupted and only those in power dictate what is acceptable or not. It has happened for thousands of years and we are witnessing it unfold today.
But it is even more than free speech. What about freedom of movement, to practice ones spiritual beliefs, to have access to land so that one can support themselves? What about the freedom to have clean air to breath, clean water to drink and healthy food to eat? As we move through the coming times, we are all going to be confronted with these questions as the violence, tyranny and wars continue to unfold.
So where are we going to find freedom when all this shit is going on? Encased in concrete at the bottom of the ocean! I use that as symbol to express the type of work we need to go through to find it. This is not something that you can just wave a wand and have it magically appear. Freedom is going to require work. A LOT OF WORK. To be free requires that we allow others to be free as well, even if we don't like what they are doing at all.
There are still limits though
For me to love my neighbour as myself, that requires that I love myself first. I think I've done a fairly good job at accomplishing that goal. That is why I've declared peace and work hard to live a life of non-violence. I am also supposed to be a witness, but I cannot be a witness unless I testify. So I will testify when ever I witness actions or behaviours that are not peaceful, loving and respectful. I will stand up and testify if I see abuse, bullying, violence or tyranny. Many people here have felt the sting of my rebuke and so too has many people who wear the masks of the state and corporate fictional constructs.
But I refuse to engage in violence in order to force them to behave or change. If I do that, then I'm no better than they are. Freedom is going to require more than having an open source, distributed, decentralized blockchain to share ideas. Freedom requires that we take those principles and apply it to our every day lives outside of the blockchain. We need to find ways to implement freedom protocols in every aspect, no matter how small or how inconvenient it is.
Freedom is not something that we can find or buy at the local convenience store. It is not something that somebody else can give to you either. Freedom requires work, searching, questioning, exploring, growing, healing and vigilance in order to find. Keeping it may also require the same amount of work too. Freedom could very well be as difficult as raising a concrete encased tomb from the depths of the ocean. Even when we bring it to the surface, we still need to break it open. Will it require boiling away the water, turning it all into Steem? ;)
No matter what we do, we really do need to be very careful on which tools we use. The model of tyranny has been growing around us for generations. Over thousands of years, colonization has gripped the planet and despite our efforts, nobody is free. The decolonization process is something that I've been talking about for ten months on this blockchain and for well over a decade elsewhere. Take heed on my warnings. If you ignore them, you will be next to find your content being wiped out on these centralized, corporate spy sites. Big brother is taking the axe to any ideas that threaten his control, power and wealth. If we are not careful, people will start to disappear or be killed. Oh wait, that is already happening. Hmmmm. What are we going to do about it?

While I don't agree with everything that William (Bill) Cooper says, I agree with most of his views he expressed in this clip. We had better listen. He said this over twenty years ago and he is eerily prophetic!!! Time for action is now. Do yourself a favor and HEAR what he is saying. Our freedom depends on it!!!

I love this. THIS is the exact reason I am on the blockchain. I have been and always will be a freedom advocate in every way i can find. Whether its teaching them the history of complacent nations, or how to survive in the wild. No matter what it takes , we must prevail. The sheep are not going to have the ability to break out of the trap if we fall into it. The technology of the opressor is way too capable of creating a permanent prison on earth than any other regime who ever attempted do so before it. Our children that we teach responsiblity to.. sadly may have too few allies to successfully resist if they ever had to in the future. It is our responsibility to stand up and speak out ☺. I am not an advocate of violence to accomplish any means , except self defense. Self defense is our universal right, to defend our option of free will. I believe in free speech and the 2nd ammendment...I am happy to hear your words. Having allies in this world is neccessary for us to prevail
I see this somehow as a blessing in disguise. Not only are more people aware of the tyrannical system, more people may soon move their tent to the blockchain.

Indeed you are correct. This will help people be aware of how covert their violence really is. But this will get a lot worse before we get to that point. This is just the beginning sorry to say.

The control we are seeing is only the tip of the iceberg and it will get much, much worse before it gets better. The world's reset button has been pushed. Things will get a lot worse before the dust settles and things hopefully get better. Will we have more freedoms? Only if we work hard for them.

I was telling people for two years that the purge was coming; people like Alex and those close to him. In nearly every case these people would, as I like to say, DOUBLE DOWN on Stupidity by just making more channels on these platforms. In very few cases did people see the light like YOU DID 10 months ago and go with the ONLY network that can guarantee your Freedom of use simply with it's technology... blockchain.

I don't like Alex Jones and the sh@t spewed from his mouth. But I would definitely welcome him here at Steemit. I hope he finds his way here at our decentralized platform. I think it's what encapsulates people like Alex. And yes I would put him on my manuel curation trail with Upvotes. I know many will vehemently disagree with me but sometimes any Publicity can be good Publicity. Not all the time but sometimes
Alex is show biz mostly, i actually have a feeling he could be one of the bad guys, dare i say. Something seems off about him although there is some truth to his messages...

I disagree with you. We are beyond powerful, even without money. If you feel like you cannot 'do' anything without money, then you are a slave as your mind has been engulfed in their trap. To find ways to 'do' things despite money is where the true freedom comes to play.
Money makes the world go round yes, but that is in a sense that we empower $ by circulating it. Ignore $ and you may starve, but youll still die free if you chose to be free🤗 Here is the higher value experiment.. Get a nice glass of cold iced tea..put a lemon slice in. Grab a 20$ bill , rip it in half...instantly the value is gone. I can walk away from it knowing its worthless. Next drink the tea, its just as good ...even though the $ is shredded 😉🤗. I do understand what you mean though and my analogy is probably not the best but what i really mean is this..we choose to asign value to whatever we want, what we choose to subscribe to has the power..because we choose of our own free will. Free will is where its at and i wish to empower what i percive is worth my vote...Im buying more ETH this weekend, its getting cheaper...actually the $ is getting stronger vs it, for now...get more 😁😁😁
Money is a fictional construct that we use to facilitate easier trade with one another. Whether we use tally sticks, shells, fiat currency, or even digital currency. One cannot eat them, but instead they are used to trade with those that grow food so that we can eat. The truly free individuals are the ones that recognize their needs and provide for all of those needs themselves, without being dependent upon others to do the work. It is called being independent. Money makes the world go round because hardly anybody is free and most people are completely dependent upon others for their own needs. You are correct about value though. It is always in the eye of the beholder. Ironically, I could come behind you, grab the two halves and tape them together to instantly negate your effort to make that note worthless. Funny you would walk away from it.
Knowledge of Mother Earth, how to provide for ones needs and being independent is what provides our freedom, power and influence to make the world go round. I've spent the last 10 years exploring the idea of living without money. My wife and I can unplug completely and disappear, living without money for the rest of our lives. We remain plugged into the grid a little bit just so that we can continue sharing ideas and helping people. The more we unplug and remove our dependency on money, the less control 'they' have over us. We are not enslaved to the fictional constructs that were created to hoodwink us. I don't value money like most people. I could easily make 6 figures a year, but instead do just fine with 4!!! We value freedom over money.
Lol yes!! Often the taped dollar bill has found its way back to me 😂. I think time is far more precious than $. We are not going to change the world by making lots of $. Having time available to change the world is how we will change it. I teach others to trade, free of charge. The reason why? I believe that the more like minded people there are in existence with financial liberty the better. Maybe then we can increase the time of those who would change the world for the better ...so they have time to do it!! Money to me is simply a tool to buy precious time and nothing more😁. Well, maybe buy a hamburger with it too lol 😇
