💞 How Being In Love Felt Like; My Expirience. 💕

Today I want to share something very interesting and personal... I will be trying to describe what being in love, for me felt like. I feel like anyone who has been in love would agree with me that this is exactly how being in love feels. All the same, if you've never been in love, you might have a different feeling, maybe negative, sad feeling but this is what love felt like from my experience.

(1) I Became Addicted To Her.

Being in love, it feel like an addiction. I couldn't go a day without seeing her face. The thought of loosing her to another guy made me wanna go mad. We would always meet in between lecture periods just to see each other or even have lunch before the next lecture. Even the days I couldn't see her, we would do video calls, laugh, gist and tell ourselves stories. I didn't care about how much data or airtime I was spending on calls at that time. That's exactly how addiction feels like. You don't give a damn about the negative part, all you care about is the immediate pleasure you are getting at the moment. Just wanted to have her close to me at all cost.

(2) I felt so safe in her presence

In her presence, it felt like I can get through everything no matter how tough. It felt like I'm bullet proof and nothing could harm me. Even during exam periods when school became so stressful, due to many materials and textbooks we had to read to get ready for exam, we would go to library together in the morning and we would read all day. When she's tired of reading, I'll trick her to read for a few more minutes and before you know its hours and we leave. We got through every single thing school threw at us together. We were strong together.

(3) I Was Always My Real Self Around Her.

Being in love with my darling felt so natural and real. I didn't have to pretend or worry about my dressing and all that. We spoke Igbo language 80% of the time we are together. Even if we spoke English and one of us made mistakes, we would just laugh about it. I didn't have to worry about pick up lines, every compliment I gave her was very sincere. She knows all my flaws, imperfections and I knew hers too. With time we found a way to accept the ugly part of us without it being a problem. We had bad days and disagreements too. But we also had a mantra for difficult times which is..."What can ever make us break up? Nothing". We will always find a way to settle our differences.

(4) It Felt Like I Had A Purpose

Let me rephrase, being in love felt like my purpose in life is clear now. Before I met this sweetheart, I felt like I had a hole in my heart, even though I was in college at that time, it still felt like something was missing from my life, but meeting my baby, it became clear what it was. I knew my purpose now is to make her happy. This single purpose of making her happy filled every single void in my life. I would try hard for days to learn the lyrics of a song just to sing for her. I can picture her face right now, she's so pretty and I would do anything to see her smile. When ever I do something for her and she says "Thank You", it felt like I have finally achieved my entire purpose on earth. Her happiness became top priority.

(5) I Was Happy

There is no way I'd describe how my love experience felt like without including this. Its like the summary of every other thing I have mentioned before. She made me feel like every day was my birthday. I remember I would always brag about her with my friends and always look for opportunities to show her off as mine. I won't deny I was indeed happy. When she wasn't around and i wanted to do anything, I will first of all ask myself, what would my Darling think about this? Even now, I'd remember the memories we shared and sometimes I will smile, sometimes I will laugh and sometimes I will cry. Till this very moment, the thought of her, the memories we shared still makes me happy.

So this was exactly my experience with love. From above exposition, you can tell it was a beautiful experience for me. Yeah, if you've noticed, I used the past tense throughout my writing. It means that we are no longer together. After we wrote our last college exams some months ago, she travelled back to her parents and we actually tried long distance relationship but it wasn't working. I knew its time to let go. You know how the saying goes, don't be scared to let her go and if she comes back, then you are meant to be.
