Yes, banana leaves a big and they used to be use for serving rice traditionally too.
This plant has incaviently large leaves!
Banana trees are like that. Traditionally, the leaf are used to serve rice.

I just thought those trees must be all over....
But you still can grow it, right?
Not all over but this is one place I surprise the see so many accessible.
I cannot really grow them. Not at the place I'm living at. It's a high rise apartment without place for planting big trees.
I have banana tree in Thailand but I think different kind of your banana .
I don't know what this type is because the bananas are not fully out but there are many diffferent types.
