Welcome to today's weekly Travelfeed Europe roundup brought to you by @guchtere and @for91days.
Hello everybody! Without any delay we want to dive into this Europe weekly round-up. First, we're taking you up into the mountains, with a story about a family living in a malga for three months in the Dolomites. Next up, we're sharing another family-oriented story, about a road-trip through Italy, mostly focusing on Minori. And from first-hand experience, we can confirm that there's nothing better than hitchhiking in Iceland, which is the subject of our closing article.

This was the house we stayed in for 3 months last summer; a "malga" in the Dolomites Mountains in North Italy. A malga is basically where the cows go to graze in the summer and the house is where the people taking care of the cows lives. Sometimes it will also have more animals, make cheese or butter or, as in this case, have a restaurant.

I guess there's nothing more Italian than Minori. That's how I see this beautiful country right now. Minori, the smaller town that came out of the wealthy Romans villas, is set right on the small river, Reggina and in Ancient times, this settlement, together with Magiori (walking distance) got their names.

It's quite exciting to be on the "other side" of hitchhiking, where you decide whether or not to stop, you have no idea who that person will be, what stories she brings with, where she comes from, what is important to her, etc. Technically I was a hitchhiker myself at that moment, but at this stage of travelling with Chris I no longer really felt that way.
