Over the last two blogs we visited the Pyramids of Giza Complex in Old Cairo Today we look at some of the more cultural aspects of Egyptian Life. Egyptians are a vibrant colorful and humorous lot. They can make most astute observations in the most funny way. In fact even offensive and difficult situations of life they manage to navigate with their incredible sense of dry humor.

They have some interesting eating joints done up in beduin style. Fruits are freshly gotten from the trees in their garden. Meat is freshly killed after you place an order for the food. In fact everything is fresh and cooked right in front of you. The Taste is to Kill for ! YUM !

Pigeons are a delicacy. Fried and Served with Chips and Orange Juice. Also the Orange Juice in Egypt is Bright Yellow. A different strain or Oranges I presume !

For a conservative country PlayBoy the brand is welcome here. As a culture they are conservative. Pre-Marriage affairs are frowned upon. I should know I was dating an Egyptian lady back then. However once a couple is married everything is Open and Even celebrated ! They have some of the best lingerie shops i have seen. In fact every street lane and market is filled with them ;-)

Oh, when I see those chilling shady places and the great food, I'd love to be there right now! Nice post! Where are you from? And when did you start practicing Reiki?

Thanks Bro ! I am from India , New Delhi. I started Reiki around 12 years back. It was recommended to me by my Aikido Sensei at that time. Apparently i was an " Out of Balance" youngster :P

Wow, that's a long time! So you did Aikido as well?! Interesting synergies! And also quit nice, to have some things in common with you!

Which Part ? Reiki or Aikido :)

Both of it. But I practiced Aikido only for one year. I have more profound skills in Karate.

How many days did you spend in Egypt? and can you suggest a compact tour plan? I really want to visit there soon.

I was there for 10 days. But U don't need one that long. A week should be fine. One day in Cairo for Pyramids and Sphinx and Giza complex. Spend another day in Cairo for the Museum and Ali Mosque and Markets etc. Then go to Aswaan spend 2 days there. Lots to see there. Then go to Dohab or any of the Red Sea Cities if ur into Deep sea Diving, Snorkling, Boating in the Sea etc. Come back to Cairo spend a day for culture, streets, food, shopping or whatever. and then leave. If ur not into sea adventure etc. Then u can leave the Red Sea bit out. :)

It is kind of a plan I need :) Thanks for the advice! I like snorkelling so it is better for me to spend some time around Red Sea :) Maybe I can skip museum instead. I am not fan of museums if it is not very interesting:) But I will search for it. Thank u again :)

In Egypt Museum is important since the temples and pyramids are empty. All the artefacts and mummies are in the museum. Which is why i recommended going there the next day itself so that you will still remember what you saw in the pyramids and can connect it with what you see in the museum :) Hope this helps !

Once again, great pictures. Looks like a great time! Upvoted:)
