Indonesia #09: Diving in Amed – Day 3 [EN/GER]

After a long break, the Indonesian journey is finally back! The itinerary can be found here: https://steemit.com/travelfeed/@roadtrips/inspiring-indonesia-a-four-week-impression-of-a-magical-country

Our third and last dive day in Amed was our personal highlight! Two dives were on the program that day, both back in Tulamben. First we dived to the wreck of the Boga.

A much smaller and more unknown wreck than the USS Liberty, but that's what makes the charm. You will not meet so many other divers down there (there was nobody else down here when we went!) and you can dive into the wreck. You dive into the stern of the ship, once through the entire interior in which there is even a car. Inside, everything is overgrown with corals and full of fish, just stunning!
Since the wreck with 33m is relatively deep, you should definitely use Nitrox!

Our last dive in Bali was in the so-called Kubu Gardens. Also we can only recommend this dive site! Very beautiful corals and many fish, including Napoleon wrasse, blue spotted stingrays and eels.

In the afternoon we explored the area around Amed by scooter. Very nice and only to be recommended is the route to Bangle, a small village in the mountains (8km from Amed). The road is in good condition and hardly used, so it is also very suitable for novice drivers.

At the end of the day you should definitely enjoy a drink at Sunset Point and watch the sun set behind the mighty Mt. Agung, bathing the entire bay into a deep orange. We were there for four out of five evenings!

That's it for now in Bali, tomorrow we head to Komodo!
