#1 Guatemala Part 9: Discovering the Mayan Ruins of Tikal hidden in the jungle (Fotos + Videos)

Our first featured post is from @lizanomadsoul continuing her Guatemala journey. This time she's going to visit the Mayan ruins of Tikal and to see the sunrise from there. When she arrives at the site, it is still dark and gradually she watches the magical sunrise whilst listening to the jungle waking up. The city of Tikal is 65 sqaure km but luckily she had a guide who told her all about the secret ways to get around and see all the best parts.

#2 The Pink Beach Of Elafonisi And Our Second Road Trip Day

According to @for91days, there aren't many pink beaches around the world and luckily Crete in Greece has two. Such a beautiful place is bound to be flooded with tourist, so the guys made sure they arrived there first thing in the morning to beat the coach loads of crowds and enjoy the beach in a bit of peace and quiet. The beach connects to another small island off the coast, and they waded across the knee high water over. There were even less people there. By noon time, they made sure they left to avoid the bus load of other tourists, but they still had to fight for their way out as the tourists turned up a bit earlier than expected.

#3 Above 3900m || Lantang Trek || (Video, Timelapse, Panoramas)

Our final featured post today is from @cave-man he offer us "the most memorable post you might ever see". This is about his hike at 4300 meters above sea level in Nepal. He starts off at a village popular for yak farming located at 3900m and were told it takes about 2 hours to make the ascend. It was quite a steep climb and he had to stop every 5 minutes to acclimatize. Luckily the views around him including looking back down to his beautiful village base helped to makes things less painful. In the end, it only took him 1.5 hours to get to his destination, what a massive achievement! He took some timelapse video from the top of the mountain, make sure to check them out.

Good morning @steemitworldmap! Just got your reply to my latest "Travelogue" series post linked to your amazing site. Thank you very kindly for your support! And for the "Honorable Mention"!!

I've only been posting since May 14th. From that time until yesterday, I had never heard anything about you. Thankfully for me, @delishtreats was kind enough to invest her time into reviewing my post and letting me know about you.

A definite "newbie" in Steem and even being online, I am an "oldie" in life. It is fascinating what this new technology is capable of doing.

There is only one problem.

In the "Challenge" section of my "Chapter One" post, I describe the frustration we Steemians face in trying to "find each other" ... Well, here we are. Hopefully, someone "high over our heads" is working on it ...

For now, I will just say "better late than never" in finding out about you. I am now a follower and will do what I can in support of your "mission / vision!"

P.S. Upon seeing the results of your Honorable Mention, I wondered about going through the same process to link the post which originally caught the eye of @delishtreats. However, it is past the "7-day payout limit," so don't know how that works, but assume it is too late ... At least I will now know for the next time ...
