Travel Digest #15

We have done a few updates to the Steemit Worldmap, if anything seems strange please use ctrl + f5 to reset your cache for the page. Images should load a lot faster now and we have added a "How to" section too. The auto-comment now reflects a little "How to" as well! Last but not least, we're testing an error-comment as well!

I would also like to say, it's becoming harder and harder for us to keep selecting the best posts with the amount of amazing content you guys are adding to the map on a daily basis. Hmmm, maybe I should start with a top five, haha! All posts featured today are first-timers in the #traveldigest series and it really warms my heart that more and more people are finding their way to the Steemit Worldmap As always all posts featured here will be put on our Editors Choice Map.

#1 The weirdest town on earth?

Another place I personally had never heard of before reading this incredible post by @onethousandwords is Coober Pedy in Australia. A pass-through town, that seemingly mostly exists underground! This town is bulging of strange things to see, I mean, there is a space ship laying around! This post is filled with a bunch of information on the town, in a very easy-to-read story-telling vibe and good imagery to add to it!

#2 Hike to the Jordan Hotsprings

@derekrichardson takes us on an amazing hike to the Jordan Hotsprings in the USA. There is almost nothing left, from what used to be a popular resort, so hiking it out, you seemingly have the place all to yourself. This post is literally flowing over with incredible images and good information. For all hikers out there, this is the one for you! Next time I'm in California, I know where I am going!

#3 Wildlife in Kruger National Park

If you're into wildlife, this amazing post by @beetroot is definitely the one for you. We get taken into the Kruger National Park, South Africa, to spot the big five! Another post that holds everything you want! A lot of information, with some fun "Did you know?"-parts thrown in and amazing wildlife shots. The park itself helps with the protection of wildlife against poachers, so if you're around and want to show your support, you should visit!
