Hey Aussies (and others), I have a favour to ask. Over the past couple of weeks you've probably noticed that I've been spamming commenting on your travel posts to consider editing them to include a code so they will appear on the steemit worldmap. 

I'm pleased to say that my persistence has paid off and everyday there seems to be at least one high quality Aussie travel post appearing on the map.

Now I know many of you aren't writing travel posts and probably don't know what I'm talking about. If you'd like to know more about this project, you can go here and/or check out @steemitworldmap.

Basically, steemit worldmap was developed by @martibis and @blueorgy to put your travel posts on a map for everyone to see. As a travel enthusiastic I have liked this project since the beginning. I think it's a great idea, especially if you are going somewhere and doing a bit of research on your destination.

Mostly recently, @martibis has developed the Editors Choice concept and traveldigest tag. This project takes steemit worldmaps a step further by highlighting three exceptional posts everyday. I am proudly part of the team that reviews and votes on which ones deserve some extra attention. 

Today was Day 13 of Editor's Choice and I'm happy with how it's going considering it's been running less that two weeks. In fact, today was the hardest day of all to choose from because there were so many high quality posts that were worthy of the spotlight. You can see today's edition here.

So what does he want to do?

@martibis and @anomadsoul (another member of the Editor's Choice team) are going to hitchhike from Belgium to Lisbon for steemfest. However, @martibis doesn't have the cash or more importantly a ticket to attend. To remedy this, he recently entered @quinneaker's contest, but didn't win. Luckily he now has another chance at a free ticket thanks to @zeartul's competition.  

So what can you do to help?

It's not much at all. You just have to leave a comment here that you think @martibis is a worthy candidate for the free steemfest ticket. That's it.

Obviously you can vote for whoever you want, but I know that many of you are familiar with the steemit worldmap project and might like to help a mate out.
