Good morning San Fran! What a beautiful day in this beautiful city!

On our 2nd day in San Francisco we got a around by bus quite a bit because the distances to the places we wanted to visit were much bigger.
Our breakfast was a simple and typical bagel with a coffee in our neighborhood in Potrero Hills - Farley Coffee. A very small breakfast shop that felt local and somehow comfortable and homey.

The first stop in the city today was the cable car. They are usually pretty crowded and we thought we could beat the crowd in the morning.
Yes, we did get around a massive line but we still had to wait for about 20 minutes. So I guess that is what you have to take into consideration when going onto a cable car in San Francisco 😉

After our amazing cable car experience (because no one does it like San Francisco 😄 ) we hopped onto a bus to the political quarter, took a few pictures, enjoyed the city once again with a walk to Alamo Square.

At Alamo Square are the 'Painted Ladies'. Even if the name 'Painted Ladies' doesn’t ring a bell, you may know them as the famous San Francisco houses in different colors. They also appear in the opening credits to the show Full House.
Fun Fact: we actually met the actor for 'Uncle Jesse' John Stamos of Full House at the end of our trip in L.A.

Alamo Square is also a great place to have an overlook of the city from further away.
The area itsself was surrounded by beautiful older 'San Francisco houses'.

After a long photo session we took the bus to the Golden Gate Bridge Park. This park is not directly located at the Golden Gate Bridge though. It is a beautiful huge park with an art museum, conservatory of flowers and different monuments. It doesn’t feel like being in a big city like San Francisco when you are in this park.

Taking the bus back to Union Square – so we thought.
Unfortunately our bus detached from the high line and we had to get off and walk the rest 😁 Our bus was now blocking the high lines for all other vehicles that were going in our direction...
The area where it happened wasn’t that great to be honest. We saw people dealing and I did not feel safe over all. We quickly walked toward our destination - Union Square - and saw a big crowd with LOTS of security and police. We were told that Hillary Clinton was speaking and people were able to visit 😊

Arriving at Union Square there is a large Cheesecake Factory restaurant and we decided to have a little snack – and of course a cheesecake. It was our first time eating there and it was a great experience. We chose a table on the terrace and were able to enjoy the view of Union Square and the warming sun. It wasn’t that warm although it was the end of May and the weather was nice.

Before we went back home to our AirBnB we had a quick look at the financial quarter and a peak inside the AT & T arena.

The next day was our Golden Gate Bridge day... 😊
