Yashas' Travelogue #16 - My Experience at Asia's Favorite Play Ground - Resort World Sentosa, Singapore !!!
Virtual world exists, I have been there and it is called Sentosa, Resort World Sentosa in Singapore. Harbor Front MRT station introduced me to this fairy land. vivo mall connected to Harbor Front MRT is one of the entries to Resort world Sentosa.
Sentosa express, a mono rail start here carrying visitors to various destinations on this beautiful Island. One can purchase the Sentosa attraction tickets and passes from ticketing counter here. Resort world Sentosa also has strong online presence where you can book tickets through their online portal.
Resort World Sentosa - Beach Station And Color Run Event
It was exactly on this day 3 years ago I was there and it was my birthday, could not have asked for a better place to be. Colour Run even was organized here which happens annually as the Happiest 5k run in the world. It was heavily crowded and that elevated the fun factor.
I kept myself busy just roaming around to sink in the feeling of being a part of Asia’s fun park. The Sentosa Beach, Bikini Bar, Beach Volley Ball being played kept me occupied all along my lousy walk. Hundreds of school kids sportively participated in the color run and they were all in white.
This is one of the advantages of being solo traveler, I dont have to wait for anyone or do anything with other's permission, I can be my own manager and I enjoyed every bit of my stay here and this was just the beginning.
Where to Eat ??
Singapore in itself is a place of amazing international cuisines, while you are here at the resort world Sentosa there is no way you will be left wondering about the place to eat, every cuisine is available here including the global food markets of KFC and McD, Singapore is a clean city, make sure you maintain it and do your bit for the system there.
Attractions and Things to do
While you are there are many attractions which you can take part in, the tickets to the attractions also vary based on the number of events you book. I suggest you to look into their website for time and again offers to reduce your expenses. The Resort World Sentosa is perfectly designed to give you all the required information to go there.
I took many rides and my favorite was the 3D theater, it was one of the best experiences of my lfie so far. Just when I though everything was over then came the show stopper. Wings of Fire a extravagant display of Lasers is a culminating experience at Sentosa. It runs a duration of 20 minutes and these 20 minutes you will be witnessing something wonderful which will stay in your memory for a very long time. A story narrated by the lasers is flawless and the way it is captured is amazing. Guys don’t miss Wings of Fire AT ANY COST.
As always time flew by and sun gave up. People call it night I would say a prelude to new day. I had to go and shop. It was the same way back home as I came here. Like all good things comes to an end, my time at Sentosa also elapsed. Sentosa presented me one of best b’day presents ever.

Great travel recap, I've been on Sentosa Island just 3 days ago as well. Although I didn't really do much on the island because our budget was kind of short, just walking around is a experience in itself.
