๐บ Getting to Know Cape Town : #4 South Africans are Tea Lovers ๐บ
Mmmmm. Tea. TEH! I love tea soooo much. Ask anyone who knows me, a cuppa is the way to warm my heart.
I think South Africans like tea as much as the Brits. It must have something to do with once being a British colony.
We are also famous for our Rooibos tea. Literally translated: rooi = red, and bos = bush. Redbush tea. We say roy-bhos. Rooibos is grown in the Cederberg, a little mountainous area in the Western Cape. A herbal tea with a round, caramel-ly, smoky, almost sweet tobacco flavour.
Personally, I drink my rooibos with a slice of lemon, and a drop of honey in the morning, and in the afternoons and evening, just milk and honey.
Today I was in the tea aisle looking for my favourite Vanilla rooibos when this pretty range caught my eye. I've never seen this brand before, but the packaging was so cute, I had to check it out.
For some reason the one I chose (vanilla chai) was the same price for double the amount of tea bags. I'm the queen of bargains, so I bought it. I only saw afterwards that it's black and not herbal, but it's still tasty!

I am a great tea lover dear! I love vanilla tea with milk whereas my wife is a fanatic of her Moroccan mint tea, well she is from Morocco!

yummm I am from England so always in the mood for a good cup of tea.... my husband is brazilian and just doesn't get it... he thinks tea is just 'dirty water' haha :)
I'm also always attracted to pretty packaging as well with tea haha!
Hahahah, men! @morkrock doesn't get tea either. He only allows me to make him some sweet and milky rooibos when he is ill.
Pretty packaging gets me every time, no matter the product. Like it could be a totally unknown product, but if it has great packaging, I'm more drawn to it, as I think, hhhm, this matters to them!

Mmmm.. I love a good cup of tea! Rooibos definitely belongs to my top 5 of my favorite teas!
