It is very interesting to me that that wedding location and the atmosphere is very very different. In Taiwan, people share most of the dishes, and we have our traditional wedding on the road. All we need to do is calling and apply for the wedding and we will be approved to use the road for a certain period of time.
Another thing that surprises me is that the other day my Nana brought me to a store to buy the gift for the newlywed. Instead of picking up a gift, she walked to the desk and asked for a "Gift list" for the wedding. She picked up 3 items cost her 80 USD to buy, ship, and send the gift to the newlywed house. For me, it is very practical, because in Taiwan, we always give the money away just, but, in the end, we didn't really help for the family because most of the money goes back to compensate the wedding. In the long term, it makes me feel like Taiwan wedding is more like a "schedule". I personally want a western wedding because I can't wait to wear the white beautiful wedding dress.

There are other distinct procedures in Taiwan. For example, we will have to put up firework when the car, which the bride is in, pass to inform everyone to be prepared.
or when the bride's car leave the father have to splash water to symbolize that he allows the daughter to leave and have her own life. While, some parent love their daughter and refuse to splash the water. How do you like your wedding to be like?
