Travel Diaries - #Throwbacks - Sundowner in Santorini
How I wish I can travel to this magical place once again in life. You never know, may be someday I will get a chance again to visit. Though I do not like to travel again to a place already visited, but I have made few exceptions like France and London. France, because I am so much in love with the Eiffel Tower, and London, because quite a few of my family members live there. Greece, I have no such strong reason but if I get an opportunity I will and Santorini will be one place which I will like to stay for a longer time. The last time I visited, I had only 3 days and felt that I needed more time to spend.
Fira, is the central market place in Santorini and most popular with the tourist. It offers variety of shopping as well as dining options. Before visiting this place, I had never visited a market of this form, which was very fascinating for me. There are alleys running across where you find the shops and restaurants. Later when I travelled to Italy last year, I saw similar type of markets in Sorrento and other places. The caldera views in Santorini are something that everyone gets fascinated with

The other thing to enjoy in Santorini is the open air theatre. Every night they have a movie show starting at around 10. I do not remember if they have 2 shows or 1. It's nice way to wind up the day.
Going through the pictures it brings back so many sweet memories of this holiday.

I can totally relate to your feelings of wanting to go back to a place you've visited before, especially when there's more to explore. The market in Fira sounds like a great place to visit for both shopping and dining. And the views of the caldera must be breathtaking! It has all together a very different vibe, which I did see in some places in Italy. It made me feel like I was on a different planet.
