Visiting Island Pag, Croatia - My travel photography :)

We visited the City of Pag in August and here are some photos that I made there... Enjoy the beautiful scenery of this old city on Adriatic coast...

Miha and I spent two days in Novalja and the third day we went to see our friends in Pag. Before we met them, we decided to check up the city and take some photos of this beauty here...

These first tree photos I took from the old bridge in the center of the city. It's called Katine bridge and here you can check up the live stream and see how it looks there right Now :)

All these photos I took from that bridge, the view from here is amazing! Everywhere you look it's something to see, so I took all-around photos :)

Next are the ones when I turned in the direction of the sea, take a look of this view...

Some interesting facts from the history:

Those houses that you can see on the photo above are part of the OLD City of Pag. There can be seen some megaliths and other findings from old age.

In history that city was inhabited and very rich, but in the year 1393. - the old city was burned and robbed (conflict with the city of Zadar).

That conflict resulted with the destruction of the old city and all residents that were left - moved two kilometers north. In year 1443. - they founded a new city of Pag...

So, Pag has OLD City two kilometers away from here and Old city in the new one :)

On the photo above you can see the bridge from the other side and the "new" city of Pag. I told you all-around view :) This photos were taken from that road that can be seen on the first photos...

Assumption day was celebrated in Pag - the day we were there (it was August 15.). That boat followed the procession and the road was closed for 30 minutes during that time...

This is the church in old (OLD :) city of Pag and from here the procession started... We went to check up this place, but when we came here - our friends called us and we went to meet them :)

We really enjoyed exploring around Pag (and taking photos :) One beautiful place to see if you ever visit Croatia (you never know :) Island Pag has something for everyone!

What to say on this? This viewspot is on the road to Pag! And it's one of the best viewpoints around the island that I have seen...
