The photo above gives you an idea of what this place was like. Due to the fact that it was the dry season it wasn't very lush but I imagine that's a different story next year. Even for the time of the dry season it's actually more lush than the surrounding areas which is interesting. This place is a workout and is not exactly what you'd call wheelchair friendly, be warned.

But it's worth it, easily one of the coolest things there is to do in Acapulco if you're in for a hike.

Outside of that building with the photos we found that the majority of the signs around the rest of the site had both spanish and english translations making them easy for us to read.

All the work you see done with the built terracing and stairs is very recent.

Look at that boulder, we noticed a peculiar straight 90 degree angled edge there that you don't very commonly see the rocks do here.

Ah my first glimpse of a carving! It's simple but stunning especially to see in person. A friend called them children's drawings but I think they're more than that and very visually appealing...at least to me.

There are of course theories listed for why these things were carved into these rocks but I'm not sure all of them are correct. Whatever the reason, it was seemingly important because this is not easy stone to carve into.
