Happy Thursday my awesome friends.
Today I would like to share with you some crabs that Abuela brought while visiting the beach. These crabs are very popular dish here in El Salvador where you can buy them near the beach (ladies selling rings of crabs which are all tied up with some kind of leaf strings while standing on the highway).
A better way to get some crabs is go crabbing on the beach which is usually when it is raining hard and at night time since that is where they come out. El Salvadorian people love looking for crabs since it is so much fun trying to catch them while they try to run away.
We did that few times while living on the beach and it is super fun, but I was always scared to grab the crabs since they do pinch you and cut you with their sharp claws, even though there is a technique of grabbing them, but still the chances of you getting caught by their claws are pretty high.
There are many different kinds of crabs and these ones on the video are the blue crabs and red crabs. You can buy these crabs all mixed up while all tied up in a ring or you can buy them separate depending on your liking either the blue crab ring or the red crab ring which Abuela bought two of them.
You can also buy all different kinds of fresh seafood while driving through the highways near the beach from the ladies standing on the highway selling all kinds of seafoods including the turtle eggs which is illegal but you can still see people selling it.
Usually people prepare these crabs with a little bit of soup which consists of onion, garlic, green pepper, tomatoes, cubitos and all kinds of spices, or you can just boil them with some salt water and garlic and just enjoy the crabs.
This is not one of my favorite dishes since to tell you the truth I don't have the patience to be playing around with these little guys and only get a little bit of taste, so I don't really eat them while my husband and his mom and most of their family absolutely love these crabs.

most Pinoys love crabs i like the taste too but i would choose fish instead if they're both in the table ,you k ow i am too hungry to remove the shell of the crab before i can eat , LOL ❤️
