Crabbing on the Beach. Crabs everywhere. Orange Crab Claws. ColorChallenge.

in #life6 years ago

This is one of the visitors that decided to come and visit us in our beach house while we lived on the beach in El Salvador. For few days we had these visitors come inside our house for visit since the lot next to us was being cleaned up (because there are bushes and weeds growing on the lots the company that is in charge of them will send some workers with digger machines to clean the lots and because the crabs hide in the sand they try to run away from the machines).

Catching the crabs on the beach is one of the funnest things to do on the beach in El Salvador. El Salvadorian people love chasing these crabs because they are so quick and it is so tricky to catch them.
This is my son with his two friends trying to catch a crab.

Successful catch of a small crab.

While our evening walk on the beach my husbands favorite thing is to chase the crabs and when they run and hide back into their hole in the sand, you have to dig to see if you can still catch it.
Yes you do get bitten or pinched by the crabs claws and you even bleed from it, but that doesn't stop most of the people like my husband. It stops me from trying to catch them.

Our dog Layla was even having fun trying to chase a crab. She was really gentle with it because she was afraid of it.

This was the first time for our boys to hold the crabs since they were afraid of their claws, but once you know how to correctly grab them, they got more comfortable with the.

Some of the crabs we caught at night time with the flash light, which is even more fun.
During winter time when it rains this is the perfect time to go crabbing for these beautiful crabs on the beach.

These are another types of crabs which a family visiting us bought on the side of the road.
In El Salvador you can find a lot of people selling crabs, shrimp, coconuts, watermelons along the coastal highways.
