Satisfying Impulses #1 - 5oo km cycling from Manali to Leh - Part 4
This Part 4 of our fotolog for cycling adventure from Manali to Leh. It had been one of our greatest adventures yet. We blessed with absolutely wonderful atmosphere and welcoming locals. The appreciation from local public in form of thumbs up and a " All the best".
We started from Kelong for Jispa........one of loveliest route ever
View from our room at Keylong
Awesome breakfast to start a wonderful day.....
Bye bye to an Awesome view.....
This is what wify had.....and made our day very interesting ....
Jispa here we come!!!!!! Something intresting happened here, as usual we requested a local for directions to Jispa to which we were promptly told that its just 25 KM and all its all downslope......so we felt it would be an easy ride and we would reach our destination with lot of time to spare.
Thats where we were wrong, it was exactly opposite wad we suffered ...........though we can laugh about it now, but those 7 hours from Keylong to Jispa taught us a lesson "Recce before you move, ensure that you are mentally prepared for what lies ahead" Which we followed to the tee for rest of our journey.
The view looks awesome but it was tough to ride the cycle.
The lone wolf.....we had an awesome time here clicking at various angles
Partners in crime.....our travel buddies
Common! One more incline.......
Probably some yoga will help.......stress realised
Wify in full swing!!
Blessing from "Surya Devta" The Sun God,.........may we stay blessed always
Few more miles to go!!! Let the smiles stay. ;0 we had a minor hiccup here, broke my cycle gear, other first gear I was not able to navigate to the next gear, since there were hardly any repair station still Leh we decided to continue the journey as is. Thought it increased the effort, my commitment levels increased and I was more committed to complete the journey .
The tent accomodation for people to stay overnight.
Thats Jispa,
Jispa is a village in Lahaul, in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Jispa is located 20 km north of Keylong and 7 km south of Darcha, along the Manali-Leh Highway and the Bhaga river. There are approximately 20 villages between Jispa and Keylong. Wikipedia

We were happy to complete our journey for the day, it was a tiresome day but completing the days target made us feel content and satisfied , the feeling of achievement kills all pain.
II wanted to sleep but wify wanted better pics. ;) Talk about energy levels ;)
We tried our level best to find a Mechanic for my cycle but could not, so we decided to call it a day and relax
